Sega Alex Kidd Vintage Collection leaked on Xbox.com Marketplace (Super Hang-on 3D)
Experience a blast from past with this collection of classic Sega titles! Save kingdoms, shatter time trials, and destroy evil in Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Super Hang-on, and The Revenge of Shinobi! Now available on Xbox LIVE, Alex Kidd & Company have been updated with all new achievements, challenging new trial modes, and other goodies like recordable and downloadable game sessions, 3D mode in Super Hang-on, in game juke boxes, and the original Japanese dialogue!
Seems Super Hang-on is an enhanced port ala Sonic CD. It's almost certain it'll be a conversion of the coin-op original, rather than any home port. This joins Wonderboy Vintage Collection as an upcoming DD release by Sega.
I'd personally rather have a Shinobi Vintage Collection, with Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi 3, and possibly Shinobi Legions and Alex Kidd in Shinobi World.
Which Alex Kidd was the one built into Master Systems? Built in games were the best idea.
Some versions of the SMS had Alex Kidd in Miracle world built in. Depending on the revision of SMS you have, you either have no game built in (you just get a black screen with instructions on how to load a game), Alex Kidd in Miracle world, Alex Kidd and Safari Hunt, Hang on and Safari Hunt, Astro Warrior and Hang On, or Sonic the Hedgehog built in. All SMS model 1s have the hidden snail maze game built in:
I love Super Hang On, but after the amazing version of Daytona USA we got I really want some more games done like that, with online play and extra features on top of an arcade-perfect port. Sega Rally, Sega Rally 2, Daytona 2, and Scud Race/Super GT would all be amazing given the Daytona treatment.
Well if we're talking things I'd rather have, then sign me up for Golden Axe Warrior. I would buy the hell out of it.
Or that old Spiderman game. Where you had to take pictures to get enough money to buy web cartridges. It was actually a lot of fun.
I got Golden Axe Warrior in 1991 by mistake - my parents got me that instead of the Genesis Golden Axe for my birthday. It was the best mistake ever.
You're thinking of The Amazing Spiderman vs the kingpin. The Genesis version is alright, but the Sega CD version is awesome, because it has fully animated cutscenes, voice acting, etc.

This is like that. they're adding 3D in Super Hang-on, and there are likely other features that they're adding.
If it ends up being more than just an arcade port with 3D, I'm definitely interested. If it were more of a remake like Sonic CD, wouldn't they have added widescreen as well?

While that is the right Spiderman game, I was actually specifically thinking of the SMS version. I never played any of the others. I pretty much loved the hell out of my SMS.
Oh man, snail-in-the-maze, had forgotten all about it, amazing!
I really want to play through Shadow Dancer again, it has been literally years - decades even.
First time I saw that game I was just blown away; a ninja with a pet dog?!!
Forget Fable 2 - that dog was the mutts'.
There are 2 shadow dancers. The Genesis Shadow Dancer is completely different than the SMS and Arcade versions, which were basically sequels to the original Shinobi, while the Genesis version was more of a hybrid of Shinobi 2 and the Arcade version.
So the official title is "Alex Kidd and Co Vintage Collection"
poor alex kidd. Once the mascot for Sega, now he can't even get an entire game dedicated to him. Sure, he's bigger than "co" but he deserves a game spanning all his titles.
Opa Opa deserves a domestic collection more, though, because every single game Opa Opa has appeared in has been great, unlike Alex Kidd. And Opa Opa got a new game which didn't come to the US a few years ago.

Agreed; until I played the 3DS game and looked at the timeline, I never knew there were so many Shinobi games...

I would hope both would be included in a collection.
And yeah, there are enough Alex Kidd games that he should have one as well... and he should get a remake, too. I think the Werehog combat from Sonic Unleashed would be a good starting point...
It's talking about stereoscopic 3D. The line-shifting effect that old fake-3D 2D games used will make it pretty simple to present two different views for the 3D effect.

The Super Hang-On port has 3D mode, despite using the original graphics, which seems to indicate a remake of sorts (again, like Sonic CD).

Edit: Why can't I read two posts up? Why am I so blind?

Don't toss out your broken/unusable/worn out Nintendo (especially Gamecube/N64) controllers! Donate them to me!

Details?
And how would Super Hang-On be remade in 3D? Like, polygon 3D? Or "wear glasses"/Nintendo 3DS 3D?
As the latter goes, SEGA has a lot of classics which could stand to be remade in 3D. Space Harrier comes to mind...

And there already is a space harrier 3D (although the effect wont work in that video because you don't have the glasses).
And thanks for the link!
