I guess I'm kind of curious how it all came about, that and the "e-tough guy" thing.

i just meant that saying on the internet that i beat someone up really badly is likely to get eyerolls and LOL YEAH RIGHT E-BADASS.

it came about because the guy was drunk or high or whateverthefuck. he swung at me unprovoked, didn't ask for money or anything.

My bad then. I thought I read it as you beat up an e-tough guy.

It's wonderful because it's the kind of thread that would get locked without a second thought normally. But it's the guy who owns the site, so it has to be tolerated, even if it's not clear quite what it's about.

WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE

why are you trying to prove it

    why.

I have been trying to get out of the rut of not drawing for a year after briefly getting back into it. Before that it has been years since i would consistently draw. Junior College maybe. The last time drawing was actually a real part of my life was when inwas a teenager, which is to say half my lifetime ago.

I've never worked a single day at a job I actually cared about. I'm not exactly getting any younger here. It's probably too late to try to make a break for it but this white collar office thing is slowly killing me from the inside out. I'm slowly losing my ability to fake it anymore.

I spend all day bullshitting on the phone while staring out the window and thinking of images or stories or comics that should be told about how humans are twice as awesome as they think they are.

I told my friend Leilani on the phone yesterday that after staring at a blank page with my Wacom tablet and then immediately giving up a million times in a row, I tricked myself into drawing for three hours a day with an effing iPhone game. At this point I'll take what I can get if it involves doing an end run around my own hang-ups.

I am super appreciative that more than a dozen people will sit there patiently through my dumb drawings. Repeatedly even! And in exchange, I get a lot of drawings back which are genuinely funny.

A lot of people who play are like "I can't draw!" Yeah yeah, neither can half the cartoonists out there. The thing is that you guys are funny. Drawing is more like doing reps in weightlifting than being touched by wingéd muses from the highest mount. Being funny? Being funny is a sublime art.

First off, they give you a WINDOW!?!?

Second, anytime! It's great fun. I can actually notice myself stealing your techniques to improve my drawings as well sometimes! It's cool to feel like I'm getting better at something.

Super Troopers is definitely up there in my top comedies, mainly because it's not centred around getting high. A lot of stoner flicks just kind of pander their audience, making WEED REFERENCES etc.

    Chu you scary.
