    Considering that your roommate is the sort of person who would say "sure, you can watch if I'm not watching anything", the implication being that any unplanned, casual flipping through reality show repeats trumps the show you are dying to see, it could be tough.

    I get this sometimes (not necessarily saw blades, but all contextual advertising suddenly fixating on something).

    My only hypothesis is that I have most privacy protection stuff set pretty aggressively, which makes my preferences difficult to track, so that when it does pick up on something the lack of other data results in the ad server thinks it's disproportionately important.

    For a couple of weeks once all the advertising I got was for Muslim dating sites.

    I feel like such a badass.

    On the double fine backer's forum they're doing a poll about whether people would like to see a male or female protagonist.

    Male was in the lead (like 165 to 155).

    Then I made a big somewhat impassioned post about why the character should be female, and now the poll is male: 166, female: 175!

    Sure, maybe I had nothing to do with it, but I want to believe that my stirring rhetoric encouraged people to make the right choice.
