Each of those would've been hilariously snarky if it came from the companies behind each game.

Thing is I'd totally put down for the 100$ ending for DA III. Not joking one iota.
I'd bet they'd get enough others it'd be totally feasible too.
Saturday Morning Watchmen just may be one of the greatest things ever.
This reminds me of a time when Cartoon Network didn't suck.

I was amused.
Must be the off-year or something.

This was the best. Seriously.
I was mere seconds from flipping the channel when it looked like another Room marathon, then flipped out when they showed Tom.
It may not be the funniest AF, but it was the most effective for rekindling my nostalgia. The fact that they even went so far to do a (really good!) review of ME3 was just icing on the cake.
It also brought newfound appreciation for those old animes; it's almost shocking comparing these shows to the kind of stuff that gets released today (and why we don't have anime threads anymore), even though the only difference with anime then and now is that the older stuff worked harder to maintain quality over animation budget.
Also the Dreams AMV; even if you're not a fan of the shows on Toonami, there's no debating what a smartly put together network block it was.

Oh man, that's definitely a mockery of TMZ. I approve.
That Wii is a pretty shitty shop, but the Wii remote looks boss as hell and I'd want one if it was real.

This is a fallacy. There's just as much good stuff as back then and as much crap as back then. People only trend to remember the good.
In fact it's easier to find the good recent stuff: look for the series that aren't moe bullshit.

Splash Damage announces Tip Tap Tapir.
I dunno....to me it seems that the moe bullshit and breast comedy shows far outweigh even the traditional shonen type of animes, since both PA and nearly everywhere else in the internet has gotten in on this Salem Witch Hunt that "all anime is perverted with tentacles and underage girls".
Shows like that existed during Toonami's era too, but at the time there was a lot more positive buzz where every new show licensed by CN was met with excitement. Heck, if Toonami really was revived for 2012, what shows could they add to their lineup? One Piece, Bleach, and...that's about it. Dragon Ball Kai is licensed by WB last I checked, and Disney has Naruto.
As for "unique" anime experiences, it would be hilariously awesome if they had the balls to televise Madoka Magica, but other than that there aren't too many of those either.
I hate to turn into one of those "back in my day" types, but it's a sad fact that for the few good-to-excellent new animes, they are still buried under boring as shit harem and moe shows.
Also, while I'm glad they didn't do this, it would have been doubly hilarious if they did the Toonami April Fool's night while airing nothing but episodes of Pilot Candidate.
Seriously the worst anime I have ever watched. I think that got maybe one airing on CN before it was mind-wiped from existence.

This sounds suspiciously similar to that PA strip about PS3 updates.

EDIT: Only a select few companies seem to put effort into it and make it enjoyable. If everyone was on par with Google or Thinkgeek or Blizzard it could actually be a fun day.

I have an idea, although I'm not sure how popular it would be. At the risk of being flamed hard here, why doesn't AS just take the Saturday Action block they already have, and just slap the Toonami name and branding on it? I mean, currently it seems like it wouldn't have a place on present day CN, and all the people who watched it back then grew up. I say take a retro approach like with Nick's "90's are all that" block, give saturday schedule the name and branding, all the TOM bumpers and stuff, maybe slightly alter the schedule here and there, and it could work as a draw for both anime and nostalgia ratings. They don't even have to change the bumpers, the ones from 2005 were used for the april fools joke, and they worked out just fine, at most the biggest expense would probably be paying Steve Blum for voice acting.
