Tycho looks...oddly youthful. I am getting almost a Tintin vibe.

I genuinely choked on my food when I opened this comic. Holy fucking shit, it nearly goddamned killed me.

    Amazing.

It was a very strange conversation, because it’s becoming very clear that for ninety-five percent of usage cases NOBODY needs a computer.

There is more truth in this sentence than anyone knows.

So wonderful. An excellent way to kick off the new month!

Just to confirm Jerry's assumption in his news post, I'd suggest the Wilton 10006/300S Machinist Vise instead of a straight up anvil. Much more multi-purpose. and useful for everyday metal work, plus it's what I use at work. The real question isn't in what kind of striking surface to use, but in what kind of hammer.

I almost forgot to check on the new comic before heading out to work. Holy shit, so good.

Metalsmiths are sexy. I realize that "metalsmiths" (as opposed to just "smiths") may be redundant, but I wanted to pre-emt any Morrissey jokes.

It's awesome - it reminds me of Ren & Stimpy when they would cut to a super detailed closeup of something in a more realistic style.

Now that you mention it, I'm reminded of Spongebob - they would also cut to extreme close-up images of something, usually to gross effect.

This isn't my favorite strip of all time, but it's definitely the best, in my opinion.

Just brilliant work. I can't imagine how hard it would be to draw such a profoundly uncharitable caricature that included yourself.

    Hahaha, this comic is awesome.

Has a beaves and butthead feel to it, its great.

    This is fucking incredible.

I've often wondered how mike and jerry would handle the first time Mike and Jerry have actually appeared in the comic, and this is just glorious.

All I can say is that in the case of this week's panel, whereas most people support the concept of truth in advertising, I'd rather be lied to.

Immediately, this slammed through my head:

    http://penny-arcade.com/2003/09/03/a-few-things

We don’t look anything like the characters in the strip because we didn’t realize the characters were actually us until the second year. If that makes you angry I don’t really care. You’re ugly too, so stop fucking mailing me about it.

this was a pretty clever comic. i couldn't help but notice jerry's hawk like nose and mike's crossed eyes. must be terrible being them.

This comic makes me sad because seriously, where can they go from here?

This is their greatest work, hundreds of years from now it will be along side the Mona Lisa in the Louvre as one of the great artworks of history.

After reading for like a goddamn decade, I never really felt the need for an account. TODAY, however, I need to say that this is the greatest thing ever.
I've been waiting to see Mike draw them into a strip for a long time!

I think that word originated with a GBA SP comic, and appear in another one besides that and this one. Sabre would know, but I'm at a loss.

Jerry in panel 2 looks like The Penguin combined with the toon version of Ebert from The Critic. Mike in panel 2 almost looks like an Asian caricature. (It's ain't racist because I'm Chinese.)

I never EVER post, even though I've been reading the comic since #6.
Today however, I cannot help but applaud the guys for this, the best comic they have ever done.
I pray for a 4th panel like everyone else, and wallpaper, yes please!
