Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
I'll talk to some local places about space in maybe Late Feb or Early March.
Do a little meet and greet. Place some of this and that. Introduce some new games. Play some old favorites.
While I can't do much prior to PAX at this point, I'd love to get a Maine PAX group together sometime afterwards either at a home/bar/etc for some gaming. If Bangor/Orono wants to come down I could drive up someplace centralized like Augusta or L/A. I'm in Windham - work in South Portland - and given most of my gaming is against my 7 year old, I'd love an evening out.
I run a pinball league in Portland at Coast City Comics, a couple of us PAXers are there every Sunday night 5:30-8:30pm.
Its an awesome night and only $5 for 2+ hours of pinball. Could probably bring some board games too if you aren't into Pinball (you will be, its great for all skill levels).
I'm bummed not to be doing the full weekend with a ride on the Downeaster this year. I'm just doing Sunday and we're driving down ourselves (parking outside Boston, commuter railing in).

Yeah - I know. Up until two weeks ago I didn't think I was going to make it at all. At least I'll still be able to say I've gone to every PAXEast so far. This year I'm bringing my wife and 7 year old son. I haven't told him yet, I'm thinking his excitement for the Pokemon League, the arcade room, meeting Jonathan Coulton, etc will still make this a very memorable one. I'm mostly bummed about missing the concerts.
