Hi all!!! I cosplayed the original American McGee's Alice. I had short hair and I was covered in blood. I had hand-made Omega necklace, replica of the Vorpal blade and skull bow decal props made by Matt Kellogg. If anyone has pictures of or with me, kindly email them to britainyy@gmail.com!!!

Matt makes custom props for any occasion and can also make latex prosthetics as well as wardrobes for costuming. If you or anyone you know is in need of any of these in he future he can be reached at emzeeaye2tees@aim.com.

My flickr set is up. Manaheim, I am eternally jealous of your 24-70 f2.8. I'm currently working on getting the 70-200 f2.8 but I'm waiting to go FX before I get the 24-70 as my Tammy 17-50 f2.8 seems to be doing just fine. This was my first con shooting with an external flash (I normally just stop down to 2.8 or 1.8 if I'm using my 35mm) but I wanted a little more flexibility. I think I did alright. This was my first PAX though so I took a LOT of snapshots.

I was dressed as a Pokemon trainer on Friday & Saturday (from Black/White) and as Sakura from Street Fighter on Sunday. Mostly looking for Sakura photos. Oh good! You were one of the people I forgot to give my business card to, and this was my favorite picture from the day so I was worried I wouldn't find you! :-)

Loved your costume, btw. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for AmMcGee's version of Alice and you did an absolutely awesome job with it. :-)

Shios, the 70-200 2.8 is an awesome lens. I have one and had it with me on PAX day... but never used it. :-)

Not sure if you care about my musings, but here they are for your consideration... :-)

I have to say of all my gear that is the one has the lowest return on investment, though I would never give it up... the point is I just barely ever use it. ESPECIALLY on partial frame cameras... it's just too tight for most things. The 24-70, however, is almost always on my camera. Might as well glue it in place. :-)

If you go to a full frame camera, I think you'll find the 70-200 2.8 is more usable in more situations, however, it also depends a lot on what you're shooting.

I had to think long and hard about the order of purchases, and for me it was 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, Full frame body (D4), and then I'll probably pickup the wide-angle zoom 2.8... though I may skip it as I use the wides even less often than the big zooms.

My fiance and I both cosplayed from Minecraft. Her and I both went as Steve. I haven't been able to find ANY pictures of either of us anywhere, despite getting stopped every five minutes to pose for them, which was loads of fun, this was my first time ever cosplaying, and seeing people's reactions was a blast.

Thank you! This was my first cosplay and I wanted it to be as exact as possible to the original lol. :3
