    there aren't really any puzzles in the game except for QR codes and reaaaally simple cryptography

    I haven't got this yet, because I don't currently own a 360. However, from the Giant Bomb Quick Look I can already tell this game will drive me mad from its myriad secrets and riddles. I will be unable to puzzle them out and this game will be the death of me.

    the only cryptography I figured out was
    how directions and buttons correspond to certain tetris pieces

    "really simple cryptography" is in fact "really obtuse" to me because I haven't picked up on any of this stuff at all

    I solved one of the puzzles pretty easy but all these rooms with like chalkboards and stuff are a total mystery to me

    happy that it's simple for you though! (not sarcasm)

    Speaking as someone who has a smartphone, yeah, that is mad stupid if that's the case.

    I mean I guess you could just look up the answers, but that's dumb and you shouldn't have to do that

    I'll probably end up looking bunches at an FAQ anyway because all this symbol stuff is beyond me. Mostly because I have difficulty remembering symbols that aren't directly in front of me, especially when they all kind of look the same.

    Okay, went ahead and finished the game without getting all the collectables.

    This game has the best ending...

    But the big part of the New Game + intro had me crying with laughter.

    i did program an enigma machine simulator when i was a kid though, so that is admittedly probably biased

    also it requires a bit of notetaking

    I do? Oh right, the back button. I always forget about that button. Durr.

    I figured out their numbering system and that got me an artefact. Damned if I can figure out their alphabet though. I hope there's some kind of Rosetta room somewhere to get me rolling.

    on one hand i can see what orik is saying

    this game doesn't really have puzzles, not in the video game sense. this game isn't braid, or even really zelda. there aren't "video game" puzzles

    but i'm fine with that because if it had those i would have done everything by now

    instead i'm sitting here stumped off my ass

    knytt is nothing but calm and peaceful exploration

    very similar to fez in that you're exploring this huge environment that has a certain mystery to it that just makes you more and more curious. also similarly, it has a great soundtrack

    it is also free to download on da peecee, so everyone play knytt, thanks

    If you like Knytt and also like video game-y puzzles then An Untitled Story is also adorable, atmospheric, and free.
