If it goes before the supreme court they will have to recognize it or else put pretty much all civil rights legislation on the table to be overturned. Since California has forced the it to reach them, its only a matter of time. Probably within the next four years, or not at all.
Ah well shizzle godfather. Mayhaps next time I'm down there to visit my pops we should have a meetup with the Tamster.
Also, I know dishonored looks like a mashup... but a mashup of great games by bethesda sounds awesome. Not to mention I've always loved the stealthy aspect in their games, so I'm all for it.
Well, Bethesda's only publishing it, not developing it. Arkane's making it, and I guess they've got former Deus Ex and Thief creative? So I dunno. I'm expecting something sort of philosophically Bethesda-ish without being necessarily, directly Bethesda-ish. Could be good or bad but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Yeah rightfully so I think. Just read up on Arkane - that, plus what you said I'm going to go more optimistic than cautious. But, I'm just generally optimistic about games haha. I've never had a game really disappoint me honestly, I expect just enough out of them and try to have fun with them one way or another :P
e: let me clarify, I guess I'm more of a realist/optimist - in my mind I believe that a game can only be so good. Games are made by humans, humans make mistakes, games aren't going to be perfect or EXACTLY how good I myself expect them to be. That way, it's hard to be disappointed haha.

I didn't realize, which is on one level disappointing because I would love an open-world game with that kind of setting and the gameplay of say Fallout New Vegas. Still, seeing as how I loved Thief II, I'm looking forward to more info about the game. The trailer shows a promising premise.
RE: the whole mainstream games discussion. I like to think that the "mainstream gaming industry" (Call of Duty, annually released sports games, Oblivion) are like war. While it's almost exclusively a horrible atrocity, a crime against humanity and a spit in the face of God, it brings progress which others can benefit from.
RE: comics, I've finally got the last issue of the first series of XIII and I must say it's absolutely fantastic. The overall graphical style might not be to my taste, but it's almost flawless technically and it's amazing how the story always manages to stay just a tinsy-winsy bit below being over the top (well, at least IMHO).

Is anyone else as bothered by the walkers with the archers in them in Dishonored as I am?
They look so ridiculously impractical. Its just a dude up on stilts with a bow. As a design it has failed to convince me that it brings any sort of advantage to its user.
Yeah, for some reason it brought to mind the giant mechanical spider from Wild Wild West, just that kind of absurd 'retro-futurism' overload. Other than that, I'm looking forward to it.
muwhahahha, ive been playing Fez for a few hours and im happy with it, its mind boggling at times with all the combos and such and the QR things.
But I suggest getting it.
Well, you have to put money into it to start. So anyone with money in there, actually lost some I would imagine.
Damn you Jeckal...
Nineteen: to hold me over I got Superbrothers Sword and Sworcery, which is also a fantastic game (if you haven't already played it). It's basically an adventure game, but the visuals are incredible and I love the design, dialog and gameplay. It's also surprisingly longer than I thought it would be.
Wow DDV that's really terrible luck, you think they could have given some warning. At least you didn't lose any money, right?
Well, the eight thousand was my money, so I kinda did lose it. Overall, I lost my initial $50 deposit.
I really want to start playing again but the casino games that I've found are at a waaaay higher limit than I'm comfortable playing, and also I don't have the bankroll to play in them anyway.
There are games at bars and stuff but the people who play in them are so fucking awful and spazzy that the game is reduced to a coin toss half the time. Way too much variance.

Spazzy players are the best, you just hold out for the nuts (or near enough too) and then run them into a wall.
Watching them build their stack from dickish playing can be frustrating, but you just have to keep in mind that it's a temporary state of affairs.
The only thing that makes you want to rape and pillage is when they suck out a hand on the turn.
I play too aggro against bad players even despite being conscious of the fact that they're bad. I sometimes find myself facing down the barrel of a gun when it comes to a flip and I had forgotten that a bad player generally spazzes only when they have something amazing and they're trying to shove for value because they know dick-all about bet sizing.

I struggle with aggro playing, which why I probably make it regularly into the top 100 but never get any further.

Bleh. I could really use the bankroll they stole from me right about now.

Ungh I had $150 in my Poker Stars account, was keeping it there until I found time to play again.

Their weakpoint? People throwing rocks at them.
Fuck me, that is some seriously rotten luck. Hopefully you're able to get it back, that is a crazy amount of money to lose.

All this time, I thought it was actually meant for PC. Fuck my broken XBox in another city.

Oh! By the way, I have a spare Dota 2 invite. Does anyone want it? Or for that matter, does anyone already play?
I would love that invite if its still around
Sure thing, I'll send you a PM.
Birthday tests are the worst. I remember one time I failed and my parents made me repeat age 12 another year.
