When I was messing around with drell adept last night in pubs vanguards were setting off explosions by charging reaved banshees/brutes/primes/whatever
It's a pretty solid way to deal with bigger enemies
Still want to try drell vanguard someday
If experience with pubbie drellguards is any indication, it's a lot like being the incompetent NPC you're supposed to protect on escort missions in single player RPGs, charging into the midst of certain death and needing rescue every 5 seconds
That describes a surprisingly large amount of vanguards in general, not just drell

Also someone explain to me what I'm supposed to be doing as an asari vanguard
I went with the stasis/charge upgrades that give me a chance of the power not using a cooldown but it happens infrequently enough to not plan anything around it
She just feels like a mix of powers that don't really gel together that well, also lift grenades are dookie
Lift grenades can detonate biotic combos on stasis'd enemies as can charge. So spec one or the other detonator, set up stasis for bubble, and then your strategy is stasis, shoot stasis enemies until recharged, and then detonate.
Like with most biotic combos, its tough to use against armored opponents and you'll want a gun with some penetration equipped.
i've never played a mass effect but mom effect is routinely cracking me the fuck up

Also, CorpLogo, stasis locks down shielded foes that are unarmored and that alone make her worth having against Geth (rocket troopers, hunters) and even more so against Cerberus (centurion, nemesis, phantom).
With the Justicar, I run and reave. I try to set up bubbles in areas where I think enemies will show up, but it doesn't work out often. To make that effective it seems like you need the help of the other players to help channel them and most of the time that isn't going to happen. Also it is really tough to get a banshee in the bubble! Sometimes they warp right through it without staying in it etc.
I'll use a vanguard as an uncontrollable combat drone and rez them if they're in a spot that can be rezzed, but if they died out far away from an objective. They can watch my infiltrator sneak around and kill things.
Especially Vanguard medic. Bouncing around between enemies in the middle of the team and then charging off as soon as someone goes down is always great fun and (I hope) makes an even trade for the annoyance at all the kill-helping I do.

I should be around at some point. I'm liking this plan.

I AM THE HARBINGER OF YOUR LA PETITE MORTE
This seems appropriate.
Not completely work safe.
she's looking forward to meeting Jack after i told her that she also hates miranda
pretty sure she's gonna like Zaeed too
so as long as I convince her to upgrade the armor on the ship to save jack she's got the potential to survive

even if I did spec it for healing
vanguards really appreciate that little guy getting into the mix

Don't convince her to upgrade to save Jack, convince her to upgrade so she can get revenge on the guys who blew up her ship the first time around.
You can't give someone a pirate ship in one game, and then take it back in the next game. It's rude.

Do you direct the wind?
Do you direct the storm?
Do you direct an unstoppable, implacable force of natu - ooooooh, shiny things!
you get a new collar for every charge kill you make
