Pretty Epic Deleted Scene from Thor that clarifies some things about Loki.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYPaQpY98kg&feature=related

Obvious why it was cut though. I spent half the video unsure if it really was a deleted scene. The movie manages to imply all this just fine and you hardly miss it.
...because half of it was in the movie.

I was gonna say, I remember seeing some of that.

I actually would have liked if they kept the last little bit in that scene just to definitively show that Loki did not intend on stealing the throne outright.

God, Loki is so well written in that movie.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

    sure but like

what else has he actually written in the last ten years

i feel the same way about moffat, he had a whole series of really interesting ideas but then he seemed to run out? so now he just recycles the same general concepts and hopes no-one notices

it's a pity because in each case their earlier work was fantastic

Yeah, moffat hasn't been writing/creating a critically aclaimed adaptation of sherlock for the past three years, it's true.

it isn't AMAZING but it is a pretty dang good movie
The scene where offers to let an enemy soldier kill him if he has the guts it very cool.

I liked Beowulf a lot (except for the ZemickisGI). Winstone has the best voice.

I have never read or seen any other form of Beowulf though, so I can't really defend it when people say it sucks.

Holy crap. Keven Feige got asked about Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch and gave an answer I wasn't expecting: Basically the rights are available to both Fox and Marvel: so if Fox wanted to use the characters in an upcoming film, they could, but if Marvel wanted to use the characters in an upcoming film, they could as well.

Apparently the Skrulls are in a similar situation.
    http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=58255

EDIT: Also, to nobodies surprise, the Avengers got a PG-13 rating.

grendel is definitely not a dragon, since there actually is a dragon in beowulf, and it isn't him.

Otherwise, yeah, it's kind of a mishmash of whatever you want. He's kind of trollish and also ogreish or orcish. He's a demon spawn, he can look like whatever.

Well, the movies are all over the mark chonologically.

    Basically
    WW2 Captain America Stuff
    Incredible Hulk Opening Stuff
    Iron Man
First part of Incredible Hulk (Everything up to him making it to the University)
Iron Man 2/Thor/Incredible Hulk weave in and out of each other.
Last two scenes of Incredible Hulk
    Present Day Cap stuff.

The comic "Fury's Big Week" clarifies the interving of the 3 movies.

Personally I go by theme, especially leading into the Avengers

-Start with Cap, as everything sort of starts here: the super soldier program, the Stark dynasty, and the tesseract
-Then go to Iron Man and Iron Man 2, as they work well leading into each other, establish SHIELD and reminds people of the cosmic cube
-I put incredible hulk here because it leads off of Stark and I think thor goes better last
-I put Thor last as it reveals the whole Asgard technology concept, as well as directly sets up the avengers at the end with Loki and the Tesseract.

A Funny thing happened on the way to Thor's Hammer and the Consultant go before and after Thor, respectively.

problem is...parks and rec starts at eight thirty and thor is like, two and a half hours long...

Parks and Rec (and the rest of NBC's thursday night comedy lineup) are usually up on Hulu by the next day, if that helps. Also, make sure you get there early enough to get through potential lines. :D

well, I know parks & rec will be on hulu the next day, my main issue is that I have to go to work and then drive two or three hours after work to go to my sister's graduation

This is some heavy duty Avengers spoilers and speculation for Avengers 2 so don't read unless you don't care:
Well Loki kills Coulson, but Clark Gregg hints that Coulson's work in the MCU isn't done quite yet.

    So

I was thinking about how in the comics Vision had his brain patterns modeled after Simon Williams

well, what if they introduced Vision in Avengers 2 but had them modeled after Coulson's personality instead?

It isn't a perfect solution because he would be a superpowered robot instead of a dude in a suit but hey I would happily take it

well, I was wondering how long they would keep him as just a dude in a suit, since he is getting so popular. The vision is a nice idea, could also be something like the infinity formula or something like that.

It could also just be that he will be introduced into the comics? Comics that aren't direct movie tie ins, I mean.
