But man, JL8 was just awesome. And Batman 7 and 8 finally sold me on Snyder. I hate how long he takes to really get moving on his stories sometimes; how they all require walls of exposition in the first issues. But man, I am fucking psyched. I even picked up Nightwing. I may even pick up The Dark Knight next month, since it's being plotted by Snyder and written by Winnick.
Woo, best DC week in quite some time. And I'm looking forward to this trinity dealy.

I knoooowww. I mean... it's almost baffling compared to some of Krul's other work.
So Grifter is almost certainly still going to be a member, and Deathblow is set to be appearing in his series once Liefield takes over, so thats 2 of the original members. Steve Trevor is now a confirmed member. So who else will have been in it. Cheshire is also appearing with Deathblow in those Grifter issues, so maybe her?
I like that they are actually starting to pull JL as a true core book now connecting to many different series, and setting up tons of plot hooks for the rest of the universe.

The JL:GL trade is canceled as well. That book was fantastic, too
but I don't like George Perez's art.
Supergirl this week was pretty weak. I mean, it's never been the highlight of the month, but it's always been simple fun and the art really backed that up.
This one could have at least been saved by Asrar's art, I think.
He did do a really cool cover, though.
(Although I have to disagree that Supergirl hasn't been a highlight. It is really fun!)
Oh, yeah, it's very fun!
But I only get 6 books, and I have to rank Flash, Wonder Woman, and Swamp Thing above it.
So it takes a hit going up against those.
But I am surprised at how much I enjoy it! I actually put it above Animal Man (which I thought I would like way more, but its just okay, and the art is..."not for me", to put it nicely) and Batman, too.

A Legion of Super-Heroes spin-off that isn't very good. Not worth getting.
That kinda tells me is that not only is there barely enough interest in the existing stories going by their sales, no one cares enough to buy the previous stuff either, dumped do to total lack of interest (hey wha happen?)

They've been taking cues from Final Fantasy I take it
It'll actually just be a mini-series of the Avengers and X-Men dueling each other with the Vs. System CCG.
You can't activate Iron Man- the the Lightning Bolt on Magneto caued Electromagnetism and put EMP status on the board, forcing you to discard all Tech Color Cards.
I mean, I love Asrar's art, too, but I don't think Perez's art looked dated in this (although it has in some other recent stuff)
Something about his linework and detailing does look really dated to me, though.
No it was the newer 52 set I know Dan Abnett wrote the earlier one
They were offering bundle deals of comics like Blackhawks 1-6 that I picked up for cheap
They had a bunch of the other comics either I had them a passing interest or no idea
