I wonder If I have any points or whatever
I wonder if I can remember my password still
I'm pretty sure this did not happen, but let's assume that it did. How would I go about resetting it? If I go to the account.guildwars2.com site and try to reset my password there, all I get is a single word response: FAILED
EDIT: When I enter an incorrect password guess, the error message is "Account not found". When I do this on my other (linked) account, I get the error message "ErrBadPasswd".
I'm not even sure how to start resolving this.
If faith is just a silent tribute, mine is just a desperate act.
The account site is not actually officially usable yet, I don't think. I wouldn't use that as a metric of whether your account is valid. Have you contacted support?
I'd offer up the space, but unfortunately I don't think it will fit all the people that would be playing, it's only a 15 man server and we fill it up pretty close just between myself and friends.
I'd be willing to assist someone else in setting up a Mumble server though, if they so desire!

Very much so.
One week left.
Why would we do something so stupid? How could you piss us off simply by opening your mouth?
I got yelled at with a friend by a US Army Sergeant with the stereotypical "what is your major malfunction maggot" thing going on in my first WoW guild, and I've dealt with plenty of drama llamas and morons. It's going to take a lot more then the sound of your voice to make me angry.
Unless your voice is like a 13 year old boy shrieking.

We are an equal opportunity and compassionate group of players united in our desire to drink delicious tears in WvWvW and murder internet dragons. Inside voices only, unless we are cheering about capping a keep or something.
I'm better at articulating things in the written word, but that won't stop me from chatting in VC and streaming all weekend.
I mean we're all adults here. I hope we can be a safe place for everyone to just enjoy the game and play together while having fun.
That is the end goal here.
Exactly.
And we will find a way to guilt Caedere into unmuting. I suggest bambie eyes and gratuitous use of Charr /emotes.
The other problem is that the stuff I say I find hiiilarriiioooous, but it's really only funny if you're me.
Trust me, you don't want me talking. Gaming just hooks into the "annoying center" in my brain and pours it out all over the place.
but don't feel like you've painted yourself into a corner with us, if you change your mind just log on!
In the past I've avoided voice chat for 2 main reasons:
1- I play off-hours. The likelyhood of more than a small handful of guildies being on during my schedule is low. The chance of any of them being on voice is even lower.
2- Due to a neurological mutation, I've found certain voice chat programs (TS2 and Vent in particular, though strangely Xbox Live doesn't) to give me very bad headaches. Some of this is due to the pitch (which can, eventually, be adjusted), some of this is due to multiple people talking at once (which acts as a dagger to my skull if it's too loud/too high pitched/too long).
If I can get time to get it set up before BWE, I'll give it a shot, though.
luckily
i have managed to convince myself that i should buy a new tower before GW2 comes out for real
Gotta have some toast to start a day in Tyria off right.
Indeed. It's up to you Cae, take your time with it. There's no rush.
Yeah, this sounds a lot like me.
Glad to hear there's a lot of acceptance going on around here. One less thing for me to worry about, at any rate.
Acceptance and inclusiveness is the first step on the road to glory and adventure. How else are we going to accomplish heroic deeds and have an excuse to get drunk afterwards and have a laugh?
Well I'm sorry that your ADD is that bad, but since we know about this problem we (well, at least myself) can be civil and if it does become a problem we can just let you know and deal with it then. I'd say its only a problem if others are mature enough to not take offense to it.
I'm the same way here, about 50% of the time at least.

I will boot anyone for any reason. I am a capricious ruler.
No one who has played GW2, I think, is supposed to talk about it, except for the few hours at cons or the media.
I've played Tera, though, and I found the combat to be dull, dull, dull. The game was also really Korean grindy.
Listen, I can be the most rude asshat, either by getting much too comfortable and spouting off something offensive without thinking it through first, or have some weird confidence where I just say anything (Those might be the same thing). Also if the group or person is being obnoxious on purpose.
HOWEVER,
Don't be scared by stuff like what you said. In my experience, PA forumers are *gasp* decent people.
I'll still be listening in, so I won't be completely absent. =D
This is basically everyone from PA IMO. Especially including myself. In fact, THINKINg you are hilarious is often hilarious in of itself.
If you saw my comment about liking to shoot the shit on voice chat as opposed to being SUPER SERIOUS ONLY you would know I am not one to think anyone needs to contain themselves.
That's probably why I haven't recruited you for the admin team.
I have a lot of experience admining vent.

My experience from one of the TERA CB weekends and playing GW2 for around 4 hours at Comic Con and another 4 at PAX Prime last year (from what I can see of the press beta videos, the gameplay and questing has not changed significantly content-wise since) is that GW2 is more fun and engaging and you're more free to do as much or little of any of it as you like.
I uninstalled TERA after reaching level 6 because I could no longer hack the whole "kill 5 of this kind of tree, now kill 5 of THIS kind of tree (which were wandering around among the first kind of tree but you won't get credit for killing them until now), now kill the BOSS of trees" kind of quest chain.
In GW2 you are still killing things, collecting things, talking to NPCs, etc. but you aren't told to go and come back and go and come back and no mob is made irrelevant by not having the right quest in your tracker and if at any point you think "fuck this, I'm tired of killing trees," you absolutely need not kill another tree if you don't want to, but will still be rewarded for your contribution to having killed 3 of those trees for the renown heart or dynamic event in that area. Plus branches fall off the trees and you can hit the tree with its own branch. In GW2 an NPC will run up to you and say "help, help! [insert problem here!]" and lead you to something exciting. THAT, in my view, is what makes the questing in GW2 more engaging. You can see the immediate impact of your failing to take action, and the immediate impact of your having taken action, in the world. People run to get your help, they don't wait for you to ask them if you can help (and then, in NPC-speak, act disdainfully toward you. I noticed that a fair bit in the early TERA quests).
Then you have the whole personal story thing which is instanced and more immediate, and which I didn't see any of in 6 levels of TERA if it exists. Which is something I care about but you might not, so YMMV.
What I keep hearing from people who like TERA is that they really really REALLY love the combat and will often freely admit that the quality of questing is irrelevant to them because the combat is just THAT much fun for them. I haven't heard anyone actually argue in favor of the quality of TERA quests, though, fwiw.
/sleep /startle /sleep /startle /sleep /startle /sleep /startle over and over again. So cute.
Yea I kind of like TERA's combat but my god
I designed more interesting quests in mods for neverwinter nights when I was 14, and mostly those quests mentioned boobs half the time
so they were marginally less juvenile than TERA
And what is this! GW2 isn't subscription!
I suspect TERA is going to have a hell of a time because it looks, and feels, like a game that should be a F2P cash shop game. But refuses to admit it.
I was thinking about this all afternoon. I think it might actually be entertaining to listen to a "stream of consciousnesses" chat. After all, we're all friends here (aren't we?). Especially if we use mumble. I mean, if it got annoying, it's literally two mouse clicks to mute someone.

This.
Although, Tera does definitely win in the creeeeeepy department. Holy shit, I had no idea. I'm actually proud that I managed to make a popori girl that didn't look like pedo-bait. She looked....like... 20.
