Man oh man oh Man. Had a few AWESOME matches with Unearthly Stew. I was decimating as my INF, with my best run being 14 kills, and 6 assists. Say what you want about the Jackal, but all I need is my Rhino SMG, and I'm golden. Don't even need the cloak pack.
I was also attempting more melee kills, since they just feel so good. Also, silly as how the INF likes to PAUNCH people to death.
I... had a lot of really terrible moments where I screwed up my nitros and where I got shot a lot because I'm learning good capping routes. I am getting really annoyed at teammates who just very slowly walk up and take the flag as I come screaming past.

The match I was JUST in... ARGH. Okay, I know that I'm not even very good at this game, like, at all—I've only been playing for just a few days—but in that time I've learned that if you even so much as look at the flag when you're not doing a bare minimum of 150 km/h then you deserve the worst kind of stabbing. This time there were about five... FIVE... people on my team who thought they were awesome and would just buzz around the flag and grab it every time it showed up. One guy, named Topple, would get it and then meander aimlessly into the enemy base.
I lost count of the number of grabs I missed because of that.
If those geese would try running something midfield, or if even one of them went HoF for our team we could have won. Auuuuuugggggh.
so I'm playing TDM on that map with the kind of spanish looking white castle, and I'm messing around with a juggernaut so I camp out in that little basement room with the four pillars. And this one pathfinder keeps coming in and getting killed. Like, I get him with a mortar, I get him with the spinfusor, I get him with a grenade. I'm on a killing spree, but it's not really a spree it's just me murdering this one guy over and over again. Finally he comes back
as a juggernaut
and I blue plate him
felt kind of bad about it
then he came back with a buddy and they got me, but it was pretty entertaining

If you are going fast and close to picking up the flag (say 5 seconds away), make sure you VFF (I have the flag). Most people know what it means and will clear the stand for you instead of llama grabbing. Oh, and make sure *not* to VFF from too far away, or call for the flag but not get there in time for an egrab.
Jackal? Yea, it's a fun weapon. It could probably use another nerf right now. The air explosion damage is fine (it does like 150), but there should be a delay before you can blow them up. One of my favorite things is to cloak around the flag and fire+detonate right as someone is picking it up. There really isn't anything they can do to prevent it if my timing is on.
Also, standing on the flag, cloaked, with super heavy.
Also, also, cloak around the flag, and use sonic punch to knock the flag out of the carriers hands right after they pick it up (pretty hard to time).

There's a weakness there with the jackal, though, since you can't fire until all three shots are out. Also, if the firing gets screwed up and you are switched to semi-auto mode.

I had some games this morning with competent cappers. It was awesome. I was all heading in towards the flag when someone VFFs and I see a dude screeeaaaaming up to me. I hit the jets at the last moment, went sailing over the flag, let him snag it, and then I run interference and take out the guys who tried chasing him.
I've been doing really well with spinfusors lately. (Mainly as soldier) I've picked off a few flag carriers from tremendous distances but I think my favorite was a double kill/double blue plate the other night.
Half the reason that people go to grab the flag whenver they can is the get the experience. It may not be much, but if you can grab the flag a couple of times, and maybe even have a slight shot at capturing it, people think that it's definately more worthwhile to them experience-wise, than being on the winning team.
