Warner Bros. has just confirmed that the new trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will in fact be attached to Marvel's future blockbuster, The Avengers.
I'm seriously considered avoiding this and similar threads and webpages starting on the 25th, just to avoid accidentally clicking on spoilers. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the extra free time I'll have.

HAHAHAHAHAHA
Iron Man had a Dark Knight trailer attached to it when it came out. This isn't new

...why is that funny?
Because Marvel and DC hate each others guts?
It's a ready-made gigantic audience that is clearly interested in comic-book/superhero/summer blockbusters. WB would be extremely stupid to not take advantage of the marketing opportunity.

So that means I can't find it amusing?

Because Marvel and DC hate each others guts but are being forced to synergize to maximize their profits, likely due to demands from their parent companies?
Eh, whatever. I found it funny.
It'll also be pretty awesome too. Especially if the Batman trailer doesn't hit the net before I go to the midnight showing.
While I miss seeing new big movies on the big big screen, I very much enjoy not having to deal with chuckle fucks and cell phones on opening night.
Movies now for me are based on the Blu Ray release date.
And yeah movies are for me and me only. Not for those damn teenagers in the front row!

or do you need absolute silence and a controlled atmosphere to enjoy a movie
are you a lame version of howard hughes
gonna spruce goose it to the latest movin' picture show?
Nah, I just didn't have access to easy transportation and wasn't big on leaving the house at the part of my life. I'm sure I'm not the only dork here who went through an anti-social phase of their life.
Basically, unless I could do a group things with my small custer of friends/family, or I just ABSOLUTELY needed to see the movie, I typically just waited for video. I wasn't big into superhero stuff back in 2008 either.
In contrast, I think I went to see more movies in 2011 than I had in the entire previous decade.
now if you'll excuse me, I need to heavily drink away an absurd and comically long string of bad luck that just engulfed my last hour and wonder which god I pissed off this time

Privee seating.
21+ only. Leather recliner chairs. Alcohol and restaurant food brought to your seat.
I don't really see the point of paying for an experience I can recreate in my living room

You don't have a theater sized screen. And it's twelve bucks.
Yeah people always counter the theater argument with "But you go there to experience the movie with a crowd!"
No I go cause its a huge screen with awesome loud surround sound. I cant really do the screen part in my living room and the sound would destroy my neighbors.
I got to the movies for the huge screen and loud speakers in a large dark room.
I go to midnight releases of blockbuster movies I want see for the crowd.
If that movie doesn't have explosions in it I wait until I can go sometime during the day when I'm close to the only person in the theater besides the person I go with because fuck going to the movies alone. Just can't do it.
The last city I lived in I went to the theater all the time alone and it was great cause hardly anyone else would go to it either. I'd usually be the only one in the room. I mean really all I am going to do is sit there quietly and watch the movie like a good boy so interaction with someone else is pointless. I have random people on the internet to talk about the movies with.
Now going to restaurants alone....yeah no way no how.

Ideally you should watch 1 & 2 on Christmas Eve/Christmas and 3 & 4 the day after.
Die Hard is just good fun regardless.

So far, not bad. Kinda anime-ish though.
Weird.
Tony has silly hair.
Getting there though.
