I really thought that the Kane match was going to be a hard fought fight that had Orton interfere and take out Kane so Ryder could get the win, some kind of revenge after being killed by Kane for months. I'd have even accepted a Ryder loss after a match that let Ryder get some offense in and not look like a bitch, but it was not to be.

His ring skills are fine but even if the Kane stuff hadn't happened I'm not sure if he could have sustained his heat for very long. Even before the Kane thing I noticed he was getting less and less reaction every week. But I do hear they plan on releasing a DVD about him later in the year so they still see some kind of monetary value in him.
Yeah I heard Smartmark and whatever don't want to provide downloads anymore in order to prevent piracy but...yeah, that's not going to help that much I'm guessing.

Seriously? There's plenty of shit they could've done to actually make it interesting. Not pair them up in a shitty Survivor Series main event with opponents that had been booked to look like incompetent weaklings. Come up with something better than a bunch of childish insults to actually make both men look like they dislike the other, preferably with some physical f'n contact. Make Cena quit the stupid smirk routine and actually take everything seriously. Don't god damn book them in stupid song/rap segments that makes the entire thing seem fake and like it's a complete joke. I can go on if you like, it's really not hard to poke holes in that atrocious build.
Oh and unless you've got a good source saying Triple H and Stephanie have taken over day to day operations, then no, Vince is still in charge. I somehow doubt that's the sort of thing they'd be able to keep hidden. But even when the company is handed over, who knows if it'll be a positive change. It's Triple H after all.
I think his character is fine but yeah, his ring and mic skills definitely need a lot of work. Still, it's not like Brodus or Santino are any good in the ring, so he easily could've been a solid midcarder.

Also, for as much as you guys are complaining about the buildup for Rock/Cena, just realize that this was, not only the biggest Wrestlemania of all-time, in terms of buy-rate, but the most successful wrestling ppv in history. Debate all you want about whether it was bad to have a year-long build, or how the story progressed, but you guys are in the clear minority compared to the numbers.

It doesn't matter how lacking or not lacking somebody's mic skills or in-ring performance is. When they're over they should damn well stay over. 911 was over for a long time in ECW and all he had going was a chokeslam.

In fact, all I really see in this thread is people bitching about things they don't like, but treating it as if it's solid fact, rather than seeing that there are two sides to each thing. I 'm really hoping that the Genkido aren't RoH guys as the strongest rumour about them suggests, I know I'm in the minority here but I could very happily live without almost anybody from that roster being on Chikara shows. I'm not going to go all Chikarafans.com about it, especially since I really don't like at least one member of the Colony in his work outside of that gimmick yet the Colony tend to be one of my favourite things in Chikara.
[edit]Hmm, seems the "It's just RoH guys" rumour has moved from strong down to "meh, probably not" since I last kept up on that kind of thing. And of course there's the actual events of the early April shows to help dispell some of that particular brand of speculation. So pretty much ignore all that.
Also I want Vin Gerrard to not be retired. I would like that a lot.
In other news I buckled and handed over the cash for the last two shows on VOD, which I hated doing since I would much prefer to have them available as downloads but whatever. I got my order screwed up and watched "It's how you play the game" first so now I've spoiled the results of the tag title match for myself. However that's okay, because I got to see Archie vs Taylor in possibly the best comedy match I've ever seen outside of DDT.

OK this will be the last time I respond to you since it's obvious we'll never agree on anything but 1.3 compared to 1.5 is not "missing by a mile". Mania 28 was a massive monetary success with nearly 9 mil made on the gate alone and 68 million made from the revenue.
As for the ratings leading up to it? The Nielson system is fucking archaric in this day and age and it's pathetic that WWE, TNA, and any cable program for that matter has to cater to it like it's some end all, be all of viewership statistics.
