I honestly see no reason to play as any of the other races, the game already takes itself far too seriously so this is your only escape from it.

Nothin like a zone getting shut down because of an invasion of high level Asmos and having no other place to go and level.

That's what kept me from buying it in the first place. Now that it's free, and that ultimately I'm going to spend my time in GW2 when it launches, I have no problem killing time with levels 1-25. Though, if I can find a way to avoid the PvP, I will!

Basically don't be a dick about the things you don't like.
To be fair there is actually quite a bit of "Knight and fuckin badasses" All the Male races fall into that category pretty well (except maybe high elf males) I'll try and get some SS for people later.
But Yeah the Elin are essentially hundreds of years old and are devious as hell. Some of the stuff they say is downright disturbing given their otherwise cute look.
Lorewise you get the idea that they consider themselves above everything and all the other races are their playthings.

Pretty much. Most people who chose to play as the Elin have pretty thick skins for that stuff anyways, myself included. I pretty much just roll my eyes for each new person that comes across it as they get it out of their system.
