It costs a pretty penny -2, but Irmin manages to get all the junkies in cabs and heading for Meridi. There in the City's hands now.
[HEX]
The Extrapedia page for "Haze" is fairly to-the-point, and doesn't offer much that Warwick didn't already know.
The Haze is the endless white expanse beyond the borders of the City and HEX's stabilization field. Reality is extremely mutable within the field, and travel through the Haze is extremely dangerous for many reasons - loss of orientation, exposure to the elements and the Haze itself, and attack by Haze creatures.
The See Also section is almost overwhelming, and includes: The Discovery of HEX, PreHEX history, Famous Haze Explorers, Haze Expeditions, Hazers, Haze Creatures, The Haze in Mythology, and many, many others.
It seems to be a cave.
But who knows, man.
Who knows.

Kain sighs. "Oh Brother. Abandon hope all ye who enter."
He walks closer to the edge of the ballpit and peers into the cave.
"Looks a bit like your apartment in there, Samedi. Bet you'll feel right at home."
He pulls his gun. "Come on then, into the breach."

"More?" Daliah catches the hypo, and takes a closer look at the label. "This is pleasing news." She crouches down next to Zee, and finds the appropriate vein on his neck. "I thank you... Scrawny? That is your name, correct?" Grimacing, Daliah jams the hypo in, and forces down the plunger.
Sokudo takes the box in his hands. It's heavier than its size would suggest, and it's smooth. So smooth it almost feels wet. [47/90] He sends a sonar pulse through the box and gets all the detail he could hope for. It is, indeed, hollow on the inside, though whatever it's holding is too flat to distinguish well from the surface of the box. There's also a locking mechanism within the sides of the box itself. It's surprisingly simple, too. Even an amateur thief could break into it if there was any way to manipulate the inside.
"Can the fleet hear me?" Vek's voice comes over the speaker. Sokudo ignores it. [87/40] The box is...compelling. He can open it. He knows he can. All he has to do is vibrate the pins a bit so they lock into place and...
"This is Agent Sims of the Solar Alliance Bureau of Investigation," she says into the comlink. "I don't care how crazy it sounds. Do whatever this monk says."
As the fleet gathers around the Hatshepsut, Sokudo concentrates on the box and sends one more ping. [1/1] [Auto-Success] He can feel the clicks of the pins and the light whisper of the vacuum seal releasing for the first time in hundreds of years. It seems the box wasn't one, whole piece so much as the seal keeping the two halves together was perfect down to the molecular scale. The box splits in twain, and a small, crystalline chip with glowing, blue circuits falls into his hand. And then he sees his world explode into cacophonous color.
Agent Sims just sees him collapse on the floor.

[3/30] [93/1] Meanwhile, Vek builds his miniature sun. The hardest part is keeping it all safe and contained a it grows ever larger; but he manages to hold it together. After a few minutes he gets used to routine. Pull, shape, balance. Pull, shape, balance. Wax on, wax off. The whole time, though, he keeps his mind and body ready to release and direct all that energy at a moment's notice. They'd be here soon.

In an instant, the world in Sokudo's mind reshapes itself. He sees a tower on an alien world whose spire rises into the stratosphere.
This is your target.
He zooms down to the ground and flies through the entrance.
Homeworld locked in temporal stasis. Device could not be fully activated. Task left for you.
He floats through hallways and doors until he arrives at the core of the tower: a room filled with what he can only assume is computer equipment, all of it hooked into a small, metallic orb in the middle of the room.
Dimensional anomaly captured and preserved. Resonant weapons must unlock and harness. This is your final mission. Destroy the enemy.
Sokudo is suddenly hit by vertigo as he is yanked out of the tower and into space at an astonishing speed. His vision starts to go white, accompanied by a strange whine.
No, not a whine. A scream. He recognizes that waveform. It's Yan's scream.
* * *
[17/30] Tsunamis of distorted space-time collide with the aliens, sending them violently off-course. And to make matters worse, Buko's continued connection to Yan allows her to pepper the waves with lightning. If the collisions with stellar bodies and space trash don't take out some ships, whatever systems they have will likely be fried.
The Resonance is over. Yan's mind is calm again. She thinks she hears Corra shout for a first aid kit, but it's hard to tell. All her senses are a little blurred, like lenses after someone with greasy hands touches them.

Sims helps Sokudo get back to his feet. There is...a lot of noise. Too much. Every breath, every footstep, every blink of the eye. Everything, everywhere is making some sort of sound, no matter how small and insignificant.
And he can see it.
"Are you okay?" Sims asks. He barely hears it. She's all but drowned out by the sound of a ludicrously large spatial distortion suddenly popping back into shape only a few thousand kilometers away from him.

Vek can see the light from stars bend in the split-second before the reinforcements arrive. The aliens didn't just bring a fleet. They brought an entire planet. Nearly twice the size Earth, it looms over the combined human fleet like they're ants about to be crushed. Pinpricks of silver are sprinkled about the planet's orbit. More ships. A significant portion seem to be damaged or destroyed already, mostly likely thanks to Yan. Even the planet seems to have some fresh craters in it.
The speaker in Vek's space suit crackles to life.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me," Sim says. "I hope your giant fireball is ready."

"Whoa, these dudes are serious."
Remembering the master that give his life to save vek, Gin is hit with an idea.
Gin patches himself through to Vek. "Ay, Mister heat miser, you think you can handle a bit more?"
Gin take a deep breath the exhales, slowly. There must exist universes in which there wasn't enough heat to take this down. He opens... Blurs the barriers between these different realities and this one.
Perhaps, with the heat siphoned from those alternate timelines Vek will have the power he needs.

Sokudo staggers and clutches his head. He speaks, his own voice lost to him in the infinite noise.
"I can hear it. I. Can. Hear It."
The entire universal orchestra, vibrating in sync to create a symphony too vast to contemplate. He feels the vibrations of his own body, the note beyond the edge of hearing that he has always been emitting.
He feels the sound.
And then he tries to shape it.
I don't remember exactly how points work in Resonance. If I can take the point I've got in Crippling Spider out and spend it, and if that would result in a better chance of success, then I would like to do it.
Let me tell you about video games. Let me tell you about Homestuck
Also, yes, since you are using your major trait--which your ki point is invested in--you can burn that point as a ki focus to give yourself an increased chance to succeed.
Railguns, torpedoes, flak cannons, that sort of thing.
Even if the laser banks aren't damaged, there likely isn't going to be enough power available to use them effectively.
doin' the thing that sounded like a thing to do

You are already in Resonance.
Dude, I just had your villains bring a planet over to destroy you.
You can go pretty goddamn far.
Also @DE?AD @Dubh Saints Row 3 question: should I keep Nyte Blayde or hand him over?
Let me tell you about video games. Let me tell you about Homestuck
I handed him over, then reloaded and kept him.
Partially 'cause I didn't like the other reward,
but mainly because fuck STAG.

I am counting this as permission and in several hours when I actually make the post you may end up regretting this statement
Yeah, that's pretty much my opinion too.
Just making sure I wasn't missing out on anything worthwhile.
Scrawny scrunches up his face. "My name is Allet!"
I shoot a look at Daliah and shake my head. Dude's name is Scrawny I don't even care what he says.
The assault-grade HP formula floods Zee's body, and he screams awake, adrenaline thundering through his veins, synapses roaring back from dreaming. His jaw hisses as its bones knit back together, and the freshly charged muscles haul it back into place.

[Haze Group] Jtlkrek crooks a finger around the arm of her sunglasses and pulls them down. "Here? Here where? I kinda hope you're not from a wrecked Hazecrawler, 'cause that'd be kinda depressing."

Walking up to the pit and peering in, Kain sees that the tunnel extends down into the earth at nearly a 90-degree angle, tiny ledges and cliffs dotting the surface of the jagged, twisting passage. Far below, a light shines from what appears to be an emergency lantern someone threw in.
Its light glints across what must be billions of plastic balls.

The team arrives in one of the shadier sections of the already pretty shady docks. It's raining here, the air is cold and choked with the smell of iron and saltwater. The grey light from the scattered streetlamps splinters and slides across wet cobblestone and cement, serving more to aggravate the shadows than push away darkness. The buildings here are dim gray and orange, squat, dark things hiding behind rickety fences and "No Trespassers" signs.

Warwick continues his adventure of knowledge and clicks on Haze Creatures. The picture is an old photograph of a man in hunting gear crouching beside a large squidish bear... thing with bullet-holes across its flank. He looks pretty pleased with himself.
The hunter, not the squidbear.
Haze creatures is a catch all term for pretty much any living being living in the Haze. It seems that beasts are "easy" for the Haze to produce. Current scientific theories point to this being tied, somehow, to self-awareness - creatures without a sense of "self" are less prone to clinging to their morphology and psychology.
Haze creatures are also apparently as mutable as the Haze itself - and there are documented cases of carnivores attacking haze ships only to stop when the terrain around them shifted, and they abruptly became herbivores.
The See Also section has links to Pre-City Civilizations, Haze Hunting, and Dragons among other things.
Sort of a lady boy adventurer.
Which gave me a great idea for a terrible Pulp adventure in 1940s Thailand.
