I'm all for helping those with disabilities and making accommodations for them to be able to adapt in some way to society, but to assume that the fact all society is based on certain basic capabilities the vast majority of people have is somehow a bad thing is fairly unrealistic and entitled.

We had a student lecture an instructor across the hall for about an hour on how the fact we use term papers instead of term audio recordings was ableist. The student had no handicaps. Meanwhile, down the hall we have a blind PhD student in residence who can write legibly and has taught introductory writing for almost three years with great evaluations.
