They just merged with CBS. They were never involved with IGN.

CBSi bought Giant Bomb and Comic Vine. Whiskey Media itself was bought by the guys who own Mythbusters, which is why Tested is now a site with the Mythbusters dudes on the top of the page. GB and Comic Vine now work out of the same office, like 5 feet away from, Gamespot, who used to employ almost the entire GB editorial staff.
