i thought Lone Survivor looked interesting, i'm not gonna play it so here's my wild speculation:
the disaster/zombies are all in his head (and possibly he's shooting real people)
there is that bit they saw in the quick look with the party and people not knowing about any sort of monsters
but then you end up passing out and waking up in your bed, but you do have the gun you got from chie but nah your dude is probably just insane and imagined those people
maybe
who knows!
i don't

yeah that part is what made me think of my speculation
if you remember, i'd definitely be interested in hearing how it actually turns out

for sure
i do think that bit is just trying to be misleading though
for one it is super early in the game, and for two it's so obvious that ehhhh it's gotta be something more clever than that
That game is utter ass, and they were way too nice to it.
Doesn't look that bad in the quick look, especially if you really like MMO arena style PvP. I haven't played it, obviously, but I also don't like that sorta thing anyway.
The game is simplistic to a fault. I played the rat (skaven) a lot in beta, and here are his skills.
1. Throw a star at a guy.
2. Throw TWO stars at a guy.
3. Melee attack that has a high chance to crit if the target is under 50% HP.
4. Throw a bunch of stars at a guy.
5. Stealth and become immune to damage for a bit.
It's worth noting that none of these are "skill shots" in that you pick you target and the aiming is done for you. Nearly every character is like this, and the result is a very braindead, boring experience.
The best part? Go back to that quick look when they're browsing the store. Look at the rat guy's stats. His complexity rating is almost max.
I really liked the open PVP in Warhammer Online, roaming around with 200+ people fighting pitched battles over castles was great.
But the arena battleground stuff was generic boring MMO PVP, and I can't understand wanting to play that divorced from the loot grind/character progression of an MMO

The monetization scheme is really, really bad, too. You basically really can't do anything with any of the goodies that you get or XP you gain without an owned hero.
The cheapest hero is about 25500gp, on sale, and you get, apparently, 300gp on a win, and maybe 50 per loss, so you're in for a lot of grinding. And if you're looking to buy with real money, you're going to be out $11.
Just logged in. The cheapest hero is 105 gems (on sale), but you can only buy gems in what looks like 75 increments. So $10 or so for that hero, but you will have cash left over.
A loss is not just 50 gold. You roll for rewards by satisfying conditions. One for playing, one for winning, one for top three score, and so forth. It's just...really unlikely that you're going to roll more than once if you lost. It doesn't help that prices are insane. I mean, 60,000 gold for the healer goblin, and I got 55 for a loss.
I decided to play a hero that I hadn't seen in beta (and you get him free for doing the tutorial). His skills:
1. Melee basic attack
2. Melee attack that reduces damage you take for three seconds.
3. Melee attack that hits TWICE
4. Melee attack with a bleed component.
5. Longish cooldown skill that increases all damage for 15 or so seconds.
Even more heinous is that the customization is totally dependent on owning the hero. There's talent treeish stuff like WoW and you have three slots to equip perks into. One I had was for +15% damage. But YOU HAVE TO OWN THE HERO. If they are free for the week? Fuck off, you'll have to suck it up. After playing Super Monday Night Combat for months, this kind of setup is just hideous to walk into.

I am convinced that the guys involved with it are crap.

Wrath of Heroes just looks so boring and bad. It seems like they just lifted the combat model from an MMO and dumped it into an arena setting without any real thought for why that's fun. MMO PvP has never been especially strong from a gameplay perspective in any game, it's all the genre wrappings that can make it good. It doesn't help that the graphics are just gross.

Do they have archived versions of the Premium stuff on Justin.TV? I know the thing with TNTs is that you can watch them on Justin for free, but the 720p archive on Giant Bomb is premium.
