I'm moving to Vancouver in a few months

I'm just taking clothes really. Hoping to find an apartment or room that's at least semi furnished

    WHAT!

    REALLY?

    Dude.

Whoa! Seriously. Everyone is moving here. Pipe, welcome to Vancouver! It should be easy to find a furnished room, lots are still furnished because of the winter olympics.

Looking at some 850 sq ft apartments on Tuesday that should be nice and closer to downtown than I am now at my parents'.

BUT, there are some slightly nicer ones that might become available soon for 50 less. BUTT they are still far away from everything and everyone besides work. Thinking I might take these ones on Tuesday if I can.

I am looking for a place in SE or NE Portland. Hard going. Can't decide if I want a studio, a 1br, or if I should find a room on Craigslist.

Actually an inlaw type unit in a rad house would be the most preferable

Dude, if you can find a cheap ass house in NE I'd be willing to throw down on a room.

I had an interview, and a second one coming up.

Eugene sucks, and so does Portland. I don't know what I'm doing anymore, but I'm going headfirst into it.

    no idea

I'm hoping (possibly futilely) that I'll get a job before I need to find more permanent residence and sign a lease and stuff, so it'd depend on that

but at the moment, I'm looking to move to "Somewhere near the Skytrain"

Alright, that shouldn't be too hard. In Burnaby the apartments are pretty cheap, nicely sized, and near the skytrain to boot.
Are you just winging the employment thing?

I would love to live in my own apartment. They are way, way too expensive in my immediate area, though. The ones that are affordable add at minimum 40 minutes to my commute, one-way.

no that also comes with a false sense of superiority too, shorty

I like my bitterness to purely be self loathing and defeat thank you very much

I need it to only ever be nice out like two months a year. That adds to the bitterness. The utter contempt for mother nature.

The only other option would be living in one of those canada super apartments that have stores and everything in them and also work there and never have to go outside. That kinda bitterness i'd dig on.
