As it is, Azael is at the front of the caravan, and it's still the same thing with the rest of you taking one turn to arrive at the front caravan section if combat has already begun and you're not there yet.

NEIN! They'd know you'd cursed them since monsters know that powers have been used on them, and then they'd come and beat you up.
40/40hp (6/10 surges left) and 28/29hp (3/8 left) for the companion. BTW I can't read the companion cards, they're squished pretty small

Um. Technically no, but if you guys don't care, you could just swap orders and such if you're in the same initiative block. We do that all the time when we play IRL - we just delay for one another, though SoT/EoT effects have to be dealt with.
