There is a waiter who goes out there every now and then who can discover him.
I don't know what his timer is, or if there's a certain place you can shoot him where he won't be found, but I've had mixed success thus far. Sometimes he finds him, sometimes he doesn't.
meanwhile the river boat mission is really growing on me, with so many targets there's like 15 ways to do that one. I want to try it without changing suits.

It gets absurd if you try higher difficulties but it's pretty doable on normal
Silent Assassin is a good challenge too, and not a stupid clusterfuck
The heaven/hell one is just crazy complicated and lots of patrolling guards
and the white house one is inscrutable and I think I resorted to just shooting the whole place up

it seems like most of hitman 2's difficulty comes from how awful the controls are and how little you can do
