Isn't Carol older than Peter, by like 10 years? She always seems to be on the older end of the spectrum with other heroes. Not Ben or Reed or Tony old, but in that Steve/John Walker/Rhodey spectrum.
Well, if not Wolverine, who should Carol have sex with to make her more interesting as a character? Tony Stark? I think they already did that at one point. I guess you could do a Captain sexing Captain thing with her and Captain America.

Oh and the Sentry is Robert Reynolds, he doesn't switch between two personalities. He's Rob Reynolds, and the Void is something else that was part of him but has now split away. He's not crazy, though he is haunted by his past, by his current role, and he still faces the old problems of depression and isolation.
So like an Adam Warlock kind of deal where maybe he tries to purge the evil from his being, but whoops, now there's Magus?

There's a really interesting portrayal of a trans person in a Mystique issue, I want to say one of BKV's, where they draw out a ton of sympathy with Mystique herself. One of my favourite things about that excellent series.

Scott's mole in Wolverine's camp? His former-Phoenix daughter Rachel.
Hope creates a gadget to split her energy signature between five different places.
Things are fracturing between Wolverine and Cap. Wolverine points out that the Phoenix can get to Hope anywhere, so locking her up doesn't work. Cap doesn't want her killed and takes on Wolverine. Finally drops him out of the quinjet.
So, Avengers and X-Men heading to Wundagore, Tabula Rasa, Wakanda, Latveria, and the Savage Land. Wolverine is the lone man out now, as he just wants to straight up kill Hope.
I'm actually confused as to Cap endgame here. He's written as badly in this as Cyclops was in the first two issues.

That's a good point. There doesn't need to be one. My thinking in mentioning Spidey is that it exists, and it's endearing for some reason. However, there's no necessity in there being one.
Between their military background, membership in the Avengers and the overlapping team-ups with Machine Man, I would be fascinated to see her interact with Thunderbolt Ross.
The most common lesbian shipping, BTW, is either with Wanda or Jessica Drew. I'd just as soon see Drew vanish forever, but unless something's changed they are still close friends. So she's probably going to be around regardless.

It's a really weird plot issue where Tony is saying what quite a few people are saying in regards to Cap's actions, but no one in the book is listening. It's as though everyone's acting like a teenager who knows everything.
One thing I don't buy is that Cyclops doesn't have a plan. He had something like 200 plans for dealing with a possessed Juggernaut that just appeared 24 hours earlier, he should easily have 50 right now. Oh Gillen, you should have been head architect, and worn black framed glasses and drive to work in a SAAB...

Avengers Academy #29 was good, better than some of the other tie-ins, it does a decent job of trying to ride the tension between Scott's Tots and the Academy with how some mutants are ok with house arrest, the others get really freaked out because they were just attacked by the Avengers and are now supposed to be bffs with their kids (bonus points if they can tie this back to Decimation with the mansion under 24/7 surveillance). Although Pixie could just teleport everyone away, and it just feels weird how the students weren't mentioned in AvX #3, and how we're just going with the idea that Scott would abandon them or Logan wouldn't just put them back at his school (in AvX #3 the Avengers flew all the way back to NYC anyway)
It does get points off because it seems whatever Asmus had in store for Shaw, that's gone away. A clever use of his powers this issue but too much trying to connect Shaw with the Dark Phoenix Saga. Even a classic Byrne homage at the end.
AvX doesn't seem like a very well put together event, IMHO. Not really much in the way of foreshadowing, or setting up the character's motivation. Right now it kind of ranks below Fear Itself for me.
The two biggest franchises fighting? Let's dump some Phoenix and Decimation in there, too, and then tie it into the return of Nova and Cable!
On the flipside, the whole endeavor seems really soulless and goofy, to me. It's comics by committee, seemingly designed solely for maximum marketability.

I think it would've been a more interesting event if it was more along the lines of Civil War. Like, the Avengers are enforcing a Mutant Registration Act because people with powers are more dangerous than loaded guns. They could've made some interesting parallels, like the mutants could have holed up in Utopia like David Koresh's cult. Only less...cultish
