USAS is a pimpish beast, but the Striker has the RoF.

All this BLOPS Deux excite has me thinking about re-installing BLOPS and playing some multi. Hmmm

On the other hand, its like 6 gigs and it takes forever to download...

Mercy for the Gold in the 2012 London Drinking Olympics!

I know I've been having a rather longish break from CoD and all that but COME ON MAN, that gold is staying in Europe.

Also, Blops 2... Err Can't be worse then MW3 I guess, should be fun for the first prestige at least.

all we need now is time travel in the story. Woods a playable character in 2025 or whatever because that's his real timeline and was actually sent back in time (at the end of blops2) to allow the cold war to play out for reals so that we wouldn't get the worse China-America hot-cold war, but lost his memory in the jump and that's what the numbers really mean and the whole thing of Russian brainwashing was a red herring.
    Spoiler:

Yeah... I don't think any of that will happen in BLOPS 2. :P

DO you mean you never got past the hill in Khe Sahn? The Napalm barrels n stuff? Because the big deal about Woods being in BLOPS Deux is the last time you see him in BLOPS he's tackling Krevchenko out a window and then blows up. I'm interested to see how they explain that one...heh

According to something (either hidden intel or that computer behind Mason's chair in the menu/room) explains that Woods is currently a "guest" at the Hanoi Hilton.

Did BLOPS have hidden intel ala the MW series? Dang, now I want to reinstall it even more...

Also, I've played too much Witcher... my brain keeps reading the thread title as "Consumer Whoreson"

Yes it did. It's actually kinda cool how they did it too. You can view the intel at any time, but until you find it on the missions, it's all blacked out. Finding a piece of intel will remove some of the black ink allowing you to read some of the backstory/mission data.

I love how the XM8 is still THE future assault rifle even though it's design was scrapped.

Also, if that 1980-2025 thing is true, I wonder if they'll mention the MW series at all or if we're dealing with two seperate continuities now. Not like the majority of players actually care about that sort of thing.

Black Ops is its own universe. The events of the MW series never happened.

    Ok. New speculation time:
    When is the divergent point?

Ahh, what does anyone care? Sure as hell the writers don't.

Also, there's a ton of additional plot stuff in the computer at the main menu.

I mean, I don't imagine there's any overlap at all. It's like a DC/Marvel thing: they're completely different continuities. But, I guess if you had to point your finger at a specific divergence point, it'd be around the time of World War II. The events of World at War and Black Ops wouldn't have happened in the Modern Warfare series, basically.

I'm finally home now. Wife is still in the hospital (standard C-section). Everything went find. Samuel is 9 lbs 2 oz. I might be on this weekend, maybe. I'm home to prep the dog.

The network at the hospital sucks and I couldn't really upload anything. I'll have some pictures later.

Theres a BLOPS 2 inside xbox video on the dashboard. Dude McGuy from treyarch mentioned a MP game mode that sounded alot like a big Battlefield kind of thing. Big open map with vehicles errywhere.

Of course Zombies is returning, but the guy said its going to be different than youre used to. Hopefully that means it'll be interesting this time around.

Maybe that was what I heard then. Perhaps it'll be co-op? I just read that whole article... I would've never guessed in a million years that Treyarch would be making the most exciting sounding CoD
yet. The campaign sounds awesome, branching paths through missions that can affect the outcomes of later missions n stuff. I'm pretty excited for BLOPS Deux!

The USAS with Damage is god tier. On any half shotgun-friendly map I can pull 25+/10- with ease. Ridonkulous.

You must have a different kind of USAS than me because I couldn't do much with that gun. Damage didn't seem to help much. I had much more luck with the KSG and SPAS, but using those guns first may have made me expect more one shot kills than the gun could supply and not use the semi-autoness of the USAS.

    The USAS is pretty good.

    It's not a striker.

I've never fired the KSG, and have like 60 spas kills.

For me even when the OHK fails I usually still get the kill. Its two-shot kill range is bonkers and I think the shots must seriously flinch people's aim because I rarely get hit after landing the first buckshot.

Funnily enough I tried the KSG to see if I could romp with it. It felt really unforgiving after my semi-auto, wide-spread baby.

I pretty much called the Future Warfare angle.

As for whether or not I'm going to buy it depends on if they don't just squander the new setting.

My question for BLOPS2 - Blop Harder!

Will Zombies continue with its WTF story line or will we start anew with a new crew and villian?

I...I need more Nicholai. I love that crazy drunk Russian.

This cosmic dance bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively, but if sweetness can win- and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow to high five you yesterday, my friends. Peace
