In this game, a player can say "hey I know your sanguine we're on the same team" but that doesn't mean anything. Do you trust them or not? It's no different than my post.

Obviously being able to tell someone's faction is useful to a player who has that macro, but it's useless to an untrusting player.
if you're going to predicate based on the idea of a player being innately suspicious of who approaches them then no matter what the circumstance they're going to be suspicious of a seer, otherwise you're just defining a player who is suspicious specifically for this seer but not a seer in a village game in which case well of course this would be less useful
