Some of them are old Blizzard North guys, some of them are ex-Flagship Studios that worked on Mythic, which was the networking testbed for Hellgate London.

Oh, and the original TL uses the OGRE 3D open source rendering engine: http://www.ogre3d.org

Not sure if TL2 will, but I always found that to be a cool factoid.

i have specific goals for the first batch of playtesting.

I can't wait to make version 0.2 of this game. i had the best idea for a resource in a card game.

Iron Man 1 is excellent. Iron Man 2 is good but not as good as 1. But grew on me more the second time I watched it.

Kids on the Slope is really good so far. It's directed by Shinichiro Watanabe and the music is composed by Yoko Kanno. It's set in the late sixties and it's about Jazz!

Basically, this is a TCG where each player has a number (1 to 3 depending on the desired length of the game) or powerful Relic cards and must try to knock down the opponent(s) raiders and use their own to steal all the Relics. There's monsters, traps, treasures, magic and such. It could be compared to Magic, but it's got a different focus.

If you want, i can send you a package once i feel it's ready for public playtesting and critiquing.

So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

Blizzard North was originally Condor Studios when they were making Diablo. Diablo was pretty much done when Blizzard bought them and called them Blizzard North.

    Which I always found amusing.

    yes!

I am toying around with RPGMaker VX Ace the last two weeks to make a 16 bit space rpg thingy. It got me thinking and I had some ideas about a simple co op game in a sentinels of the multiverse / lord of the rings vein.

like have planets as locations and flip bad guy cards onto them; have the ship cards placed down rotated sideways with color-coded edges so you could "slot in" personnel cards like ship captains or equipment like weapons. kind of envisioning people placing ship cards next to the planets in play with the attached equipment type cards. I would like to have two or three types of threats for flavor -- a planet card might show a social event or a leader that required a social attack rather than two capital ships squaring off.

I think FATE has like infected my every game designing thought but yeah. I just don't really have a clever guy combat resolution mechanic thought up, which would be a pretty key detail.

It's nice of London to keep the joke going for the rest of the country. The eventual punch line is that he will be PM and invade somewhere he refers to as Bongo Bongo Land.

Other choices might pop up between now and then. Like nuclear fire. Or David Davis, which seems less likely. I would rather have someone who didn't go to Eton and join the same iteration of the fucking Bullingdon Club as the next Tory leader, just to make a change and show the party isn't hopelessly and pathetically nailed to the monied upper classes as it currently seems. Maybe Ken Clarke can be given a rejuvenation treatment or something.
