I saw the movie a second time.
Loved it again, never felt flat at all, noticed a lot of little things and touches I missed at first. :)
    So, there's that.

Going back a couple pages, I still think the best possible comic plot for the movies is World War Hulk with a Planet Hulk movie. It ties everything Marvel is doing together, and elevates things to the NEXT level.

    Avengers 2 would (avengers spoiler)
    Spoiler:

This allows Marvel to then capitalize on the fact they now WANT to do a hulk movie because of Ruffalo and the amazing success, but the pipeline is already set so it would be awhile.

Now you do Planet Hulk, and this is like 2015 now, so you hopefully have Guardians of the Galaxy ready to go now too. And they play nice together.

Then, Avengers 3: World War Hulk. Bringing the Guardians and Avengers together in one huge awesome movie.

I wonder what happened to all that Hydra tech left over from World War 2. You'd think SHIELD would be using that stuff.

It's also kind of ridiculous how they've had the Tesseract for at least several decades, along with the recovered Hydra tech, but didn't do anything with it even during the Cold War. What's even worse is that it was Howard Stark who recovered the Tesseract.

That would make sense since the villain would need to traverse space to get to Earth anyway, and it would allow action on Earth and Asgard to occur simultaneously.

Also, Power Gem seems like an obvious choice for a Hulk sequel.

So, if Time is going to end up with Captain America, then that leaves Soul and Reality for Iron Man 3 and a Black Widow/Hawkeye spinoff.

I like the idea of dovetailing everything into a Planet Hulk movie. Having one of the cosmic gems make Hulk permanently "on" would seem like a great way of forcing that issue.

What makes you think it's too early for a Black Widow/Hawkeye film (I see them together). The characters aren't very well-established compared to the others, but the actors are.

Hell, next to RDJ, Scarlet is arguably the biggest name in the franchise.

No room on the schedule. There's Thor 2 and Cap 2, along with Iron Man 3 and possibly Ant-man in the works. That's got to be the entire phase 2 line-up over 2 years excluding Avengers 2 for the third year. I'd love to see a Black Widow movie, I just don't see it happening soon. That's why I'd like her to join Cap's cast in his franchise in the mean time.

I want to see a SHIELD movie with Black Widow and Hawkeye helping clean up NYC (it would be cool to see them really focus on the fallout of a huge, destructive battle like that). Have Fury and Hill as the support, and maybe halfway through the Wrecking Crew or something comes along to claim part of the disaster area as their own? Might be a bit too powerful for them, but it'd be a cool place to take it.

Black Widow and Hawkeye running support for Cap wouldn't be bad, and it'd be nice to see some of the Hawkeye/Cap dynamic from the comics work its way into the film. Cap also wouldn't overshadow them like Stark and Rhodes did to Widow in Iron Man 2.

And the Wrecking Crew are lame, Absorbing Man & Titania for life.

I'm really liking all the talk of how the various power stones could play into the Marvel movie universe, but let's not forget that as far as I know the only two movies coming out before Avengers 2 in 2014 are IM3 next year and one other movie, either Cap or Thor2.

So we're not going to have a lot of build time between movies.

Yeah, I was one of the people who complained about her inclusion in the Avengers and thought that she was just going to be dead weight, but her exchanges with Loki and relationship with Hawkeye were high points. I just wish that she'd been given some unique equipment so that she wouldn't have to be stuck using a generic pea-shooter and salvaged alien-tech against the baddies.

I wouldn't want the Infinity Gauntlet to show up in Avengers 2. The utter destruction of the universe can't be topped as a threat, and so it should really be saved for the last film before contracts end and actors start moving on to other roles.

It's not like the can't cast him in one of those roles if he fits the part. I mean Chris Evans was the Human Torch in FF, and they recast War Machine between Iron Man movies without causing too much of a stir
