Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

About time to move onto colour I think!

Also are you working according to a grid setup, or are you trying to eyeball the fisheye perspective? I think there's a bit more you can do to improve the arc of the perspective towards the center.
It's a very ambitious piece, and a fantastic idea, I applaud this line of thinking so keep it up!
Edit: punktuashun :B
I think I am going to paint #B next.
I do like the colours you're using, too.
Didn't feel like trudging up an old thread of unfinished projects though.
edit: also, you remind me I need to draw more with pencils... what hardness are you using?

I just put up a progression post if you hit my sig Nibz
Early Tachikoma?
I'm a fan of the neon yellow going away. feel like you could even take the saturation down a few notches still on the tiny ship. Your "F" painting is fun because of the slow realization of scale; the same principle can work here as well, but you'd need to downplay the focus on the foreground ship to tell the story of how awesome that really cool citything is. There's also the interesting play of wow that ship is tiny in comparison to that city which is tiny in comparison to that holy crap is that a sun - but that could get lost if the foreground ship draws too heavily.
Those thumbs though? Glorious. It's like looking at the world through an f .95 lens all the time, but with more ...spaceships. Is the tiny one going to be the same across all of these paintings? That'd make a pretty neat travelogue series, or spaceliner ad.
Losing the black outlines made it good to sooo good.
YAY - thanks
Good to hear an outsider opinion, I thought so too!!
@Bombardier
tachikoma indeed sir
This is a warning that my sig was too tall.
You could have sent me a PM or something.
Dag, yo
the comp is really interesting how it is right now.. just refine the edges on the foreground buildings and push the atmosphere on the purple ones. The texture is really nice.
Also, will you exclusively be doing illustration for books and for selling, or do you think you might work on some comics or something sometime?

I don't quite get this, but I like it. I mean, I know it's that color blindness chart test, and he's a chameleon. But I couldn't describe to you the exact concept. But it interests me.
You're welcome for the awesome critique.
I was thinking the chameleon was caught belly up, whereas his back side was camouflaged, so he's all surprised and stuff
