Yep, that was my reaction, too - I think they only billed it as a mystery subject because they knew nobody would be interested if they announced it was Loeb and Sabretooth.

At least we have Bunn bringing back the insane doctor from Aaaron's run before the Loeb shit.

Yeah, Bunn's first few issues have been really good, and I believe he's continuing his run after Loeb gets done with his weremonster slash stories. I thought the crazy doctor, Dr. Rott, was a pretty great addition to Wolverine's rouges gallery. Hopefully the stuff that Aaron did sticks with the character.

I just noticed that the 3rd volumes of both Avengers and New Avengers came out but I thought the whole HAMMER war thing crossed over into both titles yet Avengers has issues 18 - 24 and New has 16.1, 17 - 23. What gives?

They were two different sides of the battle, Avengers had the Avengers team facing Osborn/ the might of the combined factions, while New Avengers was them vs the New Dark Avengers

Any character being handled by Loeb is an "ugh" reaction in my books.

I'm surprised I allowed myself to believe Sabertooth would stay dead.

Decided to give Avengers Vol.3 another chance. It's going down alot better than last time (though the decision to include New Warriors characters was kind of a lame idea). But with that being said, what's arguably the best arc for this volume?

I have a soft spot for covers with dialogue on them.

  • AriviaArivia Registered User
It just occurred to me that the best cover ever would be one with Guy Gardner or Hitman or Venom talking to the reader and screaming: "In this issue YOUR MA'S GONNA DIE!!!"
