I seem to have an inability to sleep past 10am hard-coded at this point. Doesn't matter when I actually go to bed, I wake up around 9 in the morning.
Even if it was 6am when I went to sleep.

I fear I'm going to 'have' to buy all of the new Green Lantern comics and the new Batman family comics.

Turning their guns into water pistols would have been cool.

The second idea is soooo darn cool Horseshoe. Daniel does seem like the sort of guy who would blow up quite a few things though.

I know that transmogrifying the cop's guns wasn't a good idea (part of why I suggested it) but I'm also putting out cool images of Firestorm using his powers. I'd also think it'd be funny to turn a bad guy's gun(s) into one a fake one that pops out a BANG flag. Or one that has a flower extend out from inside the barrel when the trigger is clicked.

Regarding my recent IC post:
I'm thinking that Jaime hasn't told anyone that the scarab has started talking to him. I figure it started as just imparting knowledge to him and has only moved to actual words within the last month or so. And is getting more chatty and developing a personality.

If my post looks disjointed and like Jaime is just stream of conscious when talking to Ted, that was by design (trying to touch on how much of a rookie he still is). If it doesn't work or is too heavy-handed, I can edit.

Near as I can see, Jaime was never actually told Supernova's name face-to-face. looking back on the thread, Skeets called him by name when they first teleported onto the scene. Thinking that the scarab could have possibly heard that and filed the information away. If that's a little beyond plausibility, I can change that too. I just wanted another thing for the scarab to correct Jaime on.

I also wonder if there's going to be an in-universe discussion about Ted and Jaime both holding the Blue Beetle name. Is one going to discuss a name change? Just throwing out ideas here.

And Sak, I'll give up my digital comic downloads when you pry them from my cold dead fingers. Viva la Digital revolution!

to stall for time, i shall talk about how great the bat books are right now for the most part (certain titles notwithstanding, i'm looking at you Detective Comics and Dark Knight)

i mean friggin nightwing has blown me away with how much i enjoy it, same with batgirl and batman and robin

batman of course is phenomenal as well but i think it's interesting that (at least for me) all of the best batbooks aren't just about batman

I've been enjoying the Batfamily books as well Arcanis. At least the issues that I picked up while pecking my way through the comic book store. I have to say my favorite shocking like is still Batwing though. I picked it up as a odd item and found myself in love with a character I never would have expected to like. The fact that he ends up joing the ill-fated JLI just makes me love him all the more.

Also Arc is now rolling 1's for the rest of the game. Forever.

Yeah, Batwing was one I liked too.

May have to pick up issue #2 at some poInt in the future.

I didn't really expect to, but I found myself liking Swamp Thing. Picked up first issue and read through all the released comics. Was an interesting read. The imagery was kinda creepy but effective/appropriate given the source material.

Issue 1 Batgirl was fantastic. Definetly deserving a full read of the current run.

I love what they did with Swamp Thing. The alterations to his history were fantastic and I love the fact that they have tied him into all of these major events in the new DC universe as well.

Batgirl #1 did the impossible and it did it well. God bless the people who made it happen.

I am somewaht annoyed that they decided to hange Beast Boy and tie him to the Red though. I know it is very petty to dislike a color change and a revised origin but there you are.

Haven't seen anything about new Beast Boy. But honestly, I was thinking that he could totally be the 'Red knight' just from reading Swamp Thing. That's actually pretty cool to me.

Interested to read about the new Beast Boy then. I'm all for more interconnections between DC heroes (EDIT: There can obviously be the 'too much of a good thing' effect.) BB's 'default' origin was interesting, but doesn't sound like the changes would be super-jarring to me.

The change of origin isn't as big of a deal, and I wouldn't mind connecting him to other heroes. I'm not a very big fan of the idea of linking him to the Red though. Back before the relaunch when they starting linking Vixen and Animal Man I thought it was a bit of a reach just because they share similar powers. I'm hoping that for a change they will do a good job with him as he is one of my favorite characters. If he is this Red Knight of which you speak that could be a cool place to start.

'red knight' was me just searching for a generic term, I totally made it up. Like how Swamp Thing was referenced as the Green warrior-king in his own books.

Similar themes connecting the heroes.
Animal man was another that just screamed a connection to the Red too. (It was mainly him I was thinking of. Not so much Beast Boy.) ... Still, I'm interested to see where the books go.

EDIT: and despite everything I Just wrote. Yeah. I'd say Vixen always was much more mystical with her amulet being the source of her powers, I believe.
And I'd also be extremely hesitant and 'not sure if want' if the new Poison Ivy was linked to the Green. (I have no idea if she's been brought up in any of the relaunch series. Still reading through my favorites.)

It was a good term though Destroyah. I mean if they unveiled Beast Boy in the new book at some clash involving Swamp Thing or Animal Man as this pivotal figure who can help turn the tide the right way I would be psyched.

Beast Boy dons a cape and a Vader helmet, oh the horror.

They really did bring out some of the best writers around for the relaunch. It is a shame some of my favorite books were canceled tomake way for the next wave of the new 52 but that is just the way the cookie crumbles I guess. Still it was nice to see an amazing Ressurection Man book for a little while.

I have Windows Live Messanger but I've never used it. I have a netbook man. Downloading stuff is generally a bad idea.

Oh and as to Destoryah's comment about Poison Ivy she is a member of the new Birds of Prey I think.

irc clients are very very program lite

like they were made 10+ years ago for much older machines

especially if you go with a client like mIRC which is the grand daddy of all IRC clients
