None of this crazy multicolored shit with silver strips and all that crap. I'm looking at you, Canada.
Man at least it makes knowing how much money you have an easy thing to guess just by glancing at your wallet.
Seriously though. Hong Kong's nuts.
Hong Kong has three banks (HSBC, Bank of China, Standard Chartered) that can print notes, and they come up with new versions of those notes every few years, so at any given time there are like 8 versions of the HK$20 note floating around that are totally legal tender.
What I'm saying Stale is I want to be next to you and absorb some awesome.
And maybe put it in.
The way things are looking, I'm probably heading back to IL for a while. Work doesn't have anything for me, so fuck a bunch of sitting down here and playing my xbox.
I'll go home and play my xbox. Come back when work picks up again, or we get sold for mad cash and I buy one of those condos in midtown.
Man Canadian money was so much fucking better than US money.
Then again if you lost your change it could end up costing you $10++
But that's a risk I'm willing to take for the convenience of $1 coins that people actually use.
We also have $2 coins that people actually use.
Yeah that's what I thought but I didn't want to say it and be wrong... that was nice as well.
When is the US going to get rid of these dumb $1 bills? When the Canadian dollar is worth more than our dollar?
It's getting up there. When I was there a few weeks ago, it was about USD$0.97 to CAD$1.00.
I don't necessarily think the $1 bills are bad, especially since metals are apparently more expensive. Right now it costs more money to make a penny than it's actually worth.

I'm currently half assedly looking for a commercial space.
I've got in my mind exactly what I want but I get the feeling I'll end up getting something much much shitter.
guys question: is there a really easy, reliable way to get furniture? Or a mattress?
don;t really care on the quality of the furniture
not disease-ridden preferably
This time a year, I don't know. But if you are diligent you are almost guaranteed these things if you scope around apartments in a college town when school gets out for the summer.
I had an enormous, enormous falling out with my father lately, two days before I drove 5 hours away to spend a few weeks with my mother. We are now racking our brains looking for ways to allow me to finish out my senior year in the town I love.
I bought my house with cash 7 years ago, and my neighborhood is situated between another neighborhood of $1,000,000+ homes, a golf/country club where they have those professional golf tournaments, and a handful of mansions.
My house has nearly doubled in value in those 7 years. Go team!

Actually, as long as I'm here...anyone have any ideas?

We're bouncing around the idea of letting me live on my own, though it's taking some serious persuading of the mother. At least there are a few things in my favor, like that I lived in the guest house when I was with my mom and that I was basically on my on except for, say, a meal once a week, when I was at my dad's.

Then we'll live in a condo for 6 months.
And then a super cool new house that i'll never move out of because I'm afraid of the real world.
In ATL, I split a 1600 sq ft, 3 bed 2 bath, with 2 roomates. This one is in a quiet subdivison up in the hills overlooking the river.

We turned the other room into a music room for our guitars/basses/keyboard.
It's pretty nice. we pay $800 a month + utils.

I can pay my living expenses with just 2 of my 4 paychecks each month. WOO

On the other hand things can get awkward with strippers.

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.

All you really need is a truck and some rope to tie up the family while you loot the place.

I suppose I could just rent it out and move, if it comes to that...but I like to keep things simple.
Also it would be a lot easier to buy a home if I was married or living with someone.
