    I'm guessing either some type of Hawk or Falcon, the only eagles I know of around here are of the Bald variety.

    yeah, could be a female and immature bird. Definitely not a full grown male as the tail isn't red

    Probably right about it being a redtail then. I see them all the time in northern Illinois.

    I think those are light morph redtails, and judging by the belly and eyes probably both juveniles.

    Yeah red-tailed hawks. They're similarly looking to gold eagles.

    golden eagles are huge though

    Yeah that is the major distinctions between the two. They're both raptors so at least you're in the right ballpark if you get that far.
