the thing is I am not judging the quality of their writing
but the fact, when push comes to shove, make them in charge of a company's direction/flagship title and it is without a doubt their worst material, if not offensively shit.

Ha, I was just coming here to say how awesome it is that they have this sale, as I been thinking about getting Ult. Spidey. What about X-men? Is that not worth getting?
There was a time I liked the X men but then the whole Mutant rights bull came into play and I really lost interest
I do have an interest in avengers but I really don't want to go down that route again
It was about the same time I started to like the offbeat and dark comics
Is it weird that I want to see the Ultimate Defenders again? There's a good chance they're powerless again but I wouldn't mind seeing them used in a sort of Thunderbolts role. That and maybe see if some of the Ultimate versions of the original members join up too like Hulk and Namor.
Miles plays with Ultimate Peter's webshooters in Spider-Man #4, and the letter column points out that Miles will get web-shooters in #13 and #14. That's probably what May was planning on giving him in #13. That would put Spider-Men before Ultimate Spider-Man #13, and after Ultimate Spider-Man #11.
And if they're so big on continuity, Tony's armor in this is not his current Ultimate's armor. Which puts this before the current Ultimates arc. Actually, assuming continuity, Fury being there puts it before the first Ultimates arc.

In the middle actually. There is a lot of "downtime" in that story and we see Spider-woman discover MIles in Ultimates.
Spider-Men #4, such a great issue and was exactly what I wanted to see when the crossover was announced. My only very minor complaint is, what is up with the cover! It has literally zero to do with the issue heh.
"Ride or Die?" asked Goku
"Ride or Die" confirmed Dominic Toretto, as they took off to find the Dragon Balls in hopes of reviving their friend Sonic
I think people should just give up trying to fit it into continuity, seeing as
when Spider-Woman discovers Miles, Fury is in Tien and Flumm already takes over
Actually you're incorrect about that.
SW finds out about Miles in issue five. Fury talks to the president and then sends Falcon into the City. he doesn't leave for a few issues.
So maybe we should just have a little faith eh?
Its looking like the only problem is going to be the "Uncle? but you're..." which is small and ignorable.
The talk with normal Peter is probably what makes May decide to support Miles. That line "I did the right thing" seems to be her seeing how good Peter turned out and deciding for the chance of that it was worth it.
Man I just got Ultimate Doomsday today. I had no idea it took place during the time where aunt may was running the superhero half-way house. Just this week I was re-reading the later Ultimate Peter stories and was really bummed that I couldn't get more Peter/Johnny/Bobby shenanigans. I am so happy.
Finally got the first volumes of Spider-man and Ultimates today on Amazon. I'll get X-men in October when it comes out in trade format. Probably won't bother with the Hawkeye mini.
It is basically .5 issues for the first arc of Ultimates and is also written by Hickman and sets up stuff that is going to come up in Ultimates and UXM in the coming months

though Fraction has written some stuff I really, really don't like
Fear Itself wasn't offensively bad, like some of Johns' shock violence stuff
but it was kind of crap

I write about video games and stuff. It is fun. Sometimes.
Crappy connection at new worksite means I won't read it till the afternoon.
It's very touching , yes. *sniffle*
I admit I read the section over three or four times.
I really want Miles to become a part of the extended Parker family, because I love the extended Parker family.

Nice issue of Spider-Men 4. As usual with Bendis, it's the small moments that really work perfectly.

Pichelli's Variant to Spider-Men #5. It's too bad she wasn't doing the covers instead of Cheung.

I really want Peter to ask Thor where his cape is. It is the stupidest thing to ask Thor about.
everyone else besides the obvious ones is just a generic SHIELD Agent you silly gooses
Are they going into space? You can feeeeel the slow motion determination walk.
Also, that's a pretty cool cover.

Also I might sell off all my Ultimate Comics issues right up to Death of Spider-man so I can replace them with the Omnibus editions.
