That's what imagine the "Obama burns Constitution" and "Satan applauds Obama" guy sounds like.

I'd love to see footage of that guy being asked to explain just what in the holy fuck his work is supposed to be saying.

"See, Obama holds the chains . . . and the Common Man can't get money because, well . . . . . you're just some fucking liberal plant, aren't you!?"

Is he the same guy who did the "All the Republican Presidents are Awesome and Play Poker For Some Reason" painting?

Because I'd love to see an actual conversation between guys like Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Eisenhower, against modern Republicans like Palin and Romney.

Best Ike quote of all time (even though we're apparently dead set to prove it wrong):
Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.

Paul Ryan requested, spent stimulus money one year before coming out against it.

Right he wore a shirt thats a lie about an Obama statement, he's also a Cubs fan, so signing on with doomed campaigns is something he's known for, not exactly an Obama voter.

I think you can be mad with a candidate and still vote for him. Dubya won re-election and no one in the country really liked him then.

Yeah, but he ran against a democrat with the charisma and vision of Mitt Romney...

During budget debates in Washington, they were discussing cutting a bunch of money for underprivileged children's education in favor of paying for prizes for state fairs, and one of the shitpieces in our state legislature actually said (and I quote) "there are people in this state who benefit from state fairs who don't benefit from public education."

I am not joking. We are seriously not going to have satire in this country in a couple of years at the rate we're going.

If political cartoonists have a craft and their typical fair is an example of that craft, then this piece is an utter failure. It has legible writing for God's sake! Also, the characters are drawn with clean lines and actually represent things that make sense relative to their labels. This is an actual cartoon that contains a coherent political message, and neither of these things are characteristics of political cartoons.

"There are no necessary evils in government. Its evils exist only in its abuses. If it would confine itself to equal protection, and, as Heaven does its rains, shower its favors alike on the high and the low, the rich and the poor, it would be an unqualified blessing." -- Andrew Jackson

The reason Paul Ryan keeps using the word wonk all the fucking time is that it's part of his narrative - or at least the narrative the RomRy camp want to build up around him. Ryan is the technocratic policy worker that the Republicans have been missing so long! He has come down from Mt Bill Writing to spread his intelligent, carefully considered wisdom with the masses.
