The thing about OK Cupid is that what if you're walking around one day and then a total stranger spots you and says "hey I read your OK Cupid profile. hahahaha you're such a pathetic loser" and then all the other strangers that are around are like "oh I saw your profile too" then they all point and laugh

and then you realise you're in class the day of the Big Test and you didn't study and whoops you don't have any pants on
i hope by the time i die uploading your mind into a robot body is a thing that happens.
I probably wouldn't do it because robots, but it'd be a neat thing to see.
my baseless future prediction is that you will be able to copy your mind, but you can't just transfer your brain
Well, you'd be the only person that would know the difference, and you'd be dead. Or would you?
and this is what sometimes keeps me up at night.
I don't see any way it could be done with a single continuous consciousness
you'd die and that's that, and the robot wakes up with a copy of your mind
no difference from other peoples' perspective, just that you're not going to be around to see it
defeats the root purpose though.
Don't get me wrong, i agree with you, but i also want you to be wrong.
I'm not exactly fond of the idea of transferring into a robot in the first place, since the human body is a pretty core part of the human condition and humanity is the best. moving a human mind to a place that is not a physical human brain, however close of a robot reconstruction, seems like it would fundamentally alter who you are and how you think, and not for the better because humanity is the best.

I would be fucking down to be implanted in a robot. Or just hooked straight to the internet.

And then I'm disappointed because Labor Day means a Craig Ferguson rerun.
Don't expect any mercy during the great robot wars.

I'm going to assume uploading your mind into a cyborg wouldn't be too far off from robots.

fuck humans
I actually liked this one from the comments, not sure if its true though:
"Have you ever noticed that whenever GOB rolls up on his segway, he always changes the subject? Effectively making his 'segway' a 'segue'."
