Yep. When you buy the game afterwards, you'll have to buy both, but the trial works for both games.
It really depends on what sort of trial code you've got. Any code from the past like 6 months will probably be for both but older ones (which it probably is from the sounds of it) will just be for one.
We need to set up a few PvP nights, folks. That new generator the SG gets for defeating 750 opponents in PvP when members are in SG mode is suppose to be all kinds of sweet. How about next Monday night, maybe 8cst? We'll go for about two hours, just like a team night. If there aren't enough opponents, or they get tired of us absolutely dominating them, we could split into Affliction and Allegory teams.
Hmmmm...maybe I should wait another week or two and have PA host a PvP event for Virtue. Post it on the official forums, yesssss. Anyone have a preference as to which SG goes first and what zone to do it in? I assume Siren's since not everyone has a lvl 40 to take into Recluses' Victory, even though that is a badass zone.

In the RWZ, after doing one run around and talk to people mission, you can earn merits much like salvage but only from Riktis. These can be traded in for temporary powers, costume pieces, and an additional 10 salvage slots. The fastest way to earn merits is through he Crashed Rikti Ship Trial, which is a open zone trial thingy. You get one merit for every Rikti your team does damage to on top of the ship.
Oh, the costume pieces are what Vanguard soldiers are wearing, btw.
Yea, it seemed off. Dunno whether soloing or teaming is the better way to do it, I know normal IO salvage seems to drop better solo. But even with IOs, Scooter is not the Offender he once was, so teaming it'll be.
I got something like 120 merits in one assault on the mothership. So it seems pretty reasonable, though I don't particularly relish doing it for 4 or 5 characters. But the costume is sweet and that +10 invention salvage power is handy.

Is that salvage one repeatable? Because really, since you can't sell or give them away, once you've got the costume re-making the temp powers is your only option for them.

I just grabbed the salvage pack earlier and unfortunately it's a one time deal. It disappears from the crafting list once you make it, same as the costume pieces.
At level 5 do police band/newspaper missions til you get a safeguard/mayhem mission, beat it and win a jetpack.
I'm still getting used to the game... what is police band/newspaper missions? Where do you get them? I'm in Atlus City... Is it somewhere else?
I went into City Hall and did all the quests my Contact gave me.
Go to Kings Row. You should have a new contact in your list from the PPD. Go and talk to them and you will then have a police radio with which to do police band missions.

Only got like 25 merits so far though from doing 2 contacts, and a full outfit is like hundreds, so you pretty much gotta take on the ship.
You really only picked up 25 merits? Creamy had gotten 38 after about four missions. Maybe five, but I know it wasn't a whole contact.
