I always thought blue gave it that wintery look, and not neccisarily Christmas.
Colored old fashioned huge bulbs are the best. I'm not a big fan of the new led lights, although they are damn bright.

Blue makes me think of the TARDIS, and Dr. Who has lots of great Christmas specials, ergo blue is a great Christmas color! Also, while recovering from eye surgery I burned through about 2 series and now I'm sad that I'm on the last series that Netflix has.

So the creative thing I did for Santee, I had my daughter with me and she did a similar project. When Santee get's his gift (which should be shipped Mondayish), I think I'm going to post images of her efforts. It could be just proud dad mode, but for having little practice, it turned out pretty good.

I was going to post something about people being way too nervous about not getting their Christmas presents out in time, what with it only being thanksgiving week. Then I remember that I did it so quickly because I was in a panic about them not getting out soon enough. So, yeah.
A second GoGbomb showed up in my inbox today from @Elkatas. Along with a PM from him telling me to check my inbox, which is good because I'm a moron and forgot to remove the filter that automatically marks GoG emails as "read". :P
I'm going to have to leave in a little while so instead of making a rushed gift post, I'm waiting until later in the day so I can do it right the first time.

My girlfriend introduced me to the movie a couple of years ago, and it's become a yearly tradition to watch it on Thanksgiving to get us ready for the Christmas season. This year, even though we're in two completely different states, we're keeping the tradition alive by watching it and keeping Skype on.

I mean, it's got Bill Nighy as an aging rock star with the best Christmas song outside of Father Christmas. It's got Hugh Grant as the Prime Minister hooking up with his cute intern. It's got Liam Neeson not murdering anyone. It's got the dude from the Walking Dead also not murdering anyone. It's got hardcore pornography. It's got, well, everything.
