I've started holiday shopping; we only get presents for the children now so I have designated myself as representative for my family. Last years verdict: I give the best gift. My mom would just get everybody clothes, no one wants that.

Specifically Halo 4, which is a lightning deal on Amazon right now where you buy the game at the normal price but get a $20 Amazon gift card and a $10 credit for their streaming video service. The latter is nice because I have a hobby of buying old black and white films with awesome clothes through that service.

Hahaha holy crap.
So I got three boxes from Amazon today, and since I've recently ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon (some for me, some for my Satanee) I was putting off opening them. Finally got around to it so I could sort them out and um
so um apparently one of them turned out to be from my Satan! BOOKS!! Photos soon!

Books! I love books! And these definitely appeal to me:
A historical novel set in the 16th century, a crosswords book (from the Guardian no less!), and a memoir about traveling the crosswords circle and the experiences thereof. It also seems to be about searching for the idea of - as well as a literal - 'home' according to one of the blurbs, and I don't think my Satan can understand how personal a message that is for me. I LOVE YOU SATAN.
There was a note included as well which my camera didn't want to capture, it reads:
"On the first day of Christmas, my Satan sent to me
Some brain teasers from a monkey puzzle tree."

You may need to explore alternate methods to get this one. My Dark Master has no more gifts to give, so this puzzle is purely symbolic. 2268, but not vice-versa.

I think if I got @Zonugal I would go to great effort to get a bunch of Jack Chick tracts printed out in high quality, good stock paper, nicely framed, and ship them to him. Possibly not just as a gag gift, either.

Dear Satan, I caved to the glory that is Steam and re-activated my account (same as my forum name, only with no space) that I had previously only used for Super Meat Boy.
If you want to take advantage of the autumn sale, feel free. The only game I have on Steam is SMB.

It was originally published in Italian (!) and written by four authors (!!) working together under one pseudonym.
I love it already just because of all of that. But the setting is one I'm not terribly familiar with so I'm excited to read it for that reason alone!
