Ok Santa, I got the package on Friday. It was awesome but my computer died. I took many many many pictures but cannot post until it gets fixed. I'll try to do up a good post soon
Santee,
There is a letter inside the book for you. Please read that first!
xoxo
-Santa
Okay, so book in a second, but the letter reads:
The book in question?
Thank you. My son is now 7 months and we read to him most nights, so this will be a welcome addition. I do enjoy discworld, and Good Omens is one of my favorite books.
oh wait, MORE?
and inside?
I love kinder eggs. I went to switzerland in my youts--as my cousin Vinny would say--and had the undescribable luck to try one then.
and more:
Thank you for all the chocolate. My wife really liked it all. Finally:
my own infernal! I've mained a warlock on and off since the Gates of AQ opened in WoW. Thanks for my personal guardian pet. I will bring this to work to watch over me.
Man, that was exhausting...
Radiation, thank you so much for the gifts, but more, thank you for your service. As Mike Birbiglboo says. Thank you so much for being the troops, because if you weren't out there being the troops, then I would have to be the troops... and I would make a terrible troops.
But honestly, thank you so much.

The customized Mighty Mugg is so rad. Nice job, @Radiation!
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

Santee I don't know if you bought that item or got it as a gift but when I look at my gift and see the exact same thing meant for you... It's on now Santee.

I'm gonna go ahead and use the Professional Baker card here: Belgium and Switzerland win for chocolate. Specifically Callebaut (traditional Belgian chocolate, now owned and operated in Switzerland).
Seriously. I could (and have) eaten pounds of this stuff.

I feel like I have no idea what any of you guys are talking about. Is any of this available online?
Also, I don't know where I'd even begin to look for beers from other countries outside of the mainstream stuff. We should start a thread in whatever appropriate subforum it would be for helping people in different countries get food and drinks that aren't available normally.
UPS tried to deliver it during the day while I'm at work, but it requires a signature since it's beer. I have to pick it up from the UPS distribution center of which there is, apparently, one in all of Los Angeles. It's right next to the prison and Dodger Stadium, so if you all don't hear back from me, it was really nice knowing you all.
Maudite is one of my favorite, but my heart belongs to Le Fin du Monde.
I finished Gabriel Knight tonight! Good stuff. It had been a while since I played a new point and click adventure from the 90s so I was a bit rusty at first. Really got into the swing of it by the second or third in-game day, though.
So, I failed on posting that afternoon. Had some surprise guests and had to do some emergency "ohgodtheywillbehereintwentyminutes" housecleaning, and now just getting back to having some time to sit in front of the computer after spending nearly all day doing homework...so I present to you a gift I received!
Thanks mystery santa!
Now I just need to find time to play it...I see Christmas break is coming up soon, so maybe I can start playing then!
I got another gift from my Santa! A few days ago I received that movie poster. Well, I just checked my mail for the first time in a few days, and received an email message on Friday from Sweeneys SecretSanta!
Secret Santa'd, maaaaan!

Wow, I'm usually good at picking items to fill my gift box pretty much exactly, but this time, I was barely able to get everything in after they were wrapped. I literally don't have any room left - I'm not even going to try taking things back out to put individual gift tags on each. It's breaking my tradition, but it looks like I can fit just a single letter with an explanation for each gift.
To my Santa,
I stumbled across this in the SE++ Secret Satans, so if you're still trying to figure something out (as the PM that was proxied over to me last week suggests), may I suggest that a book poster featuring a classic novel would be an awesome way to class up a new place?
I had a pretty bad day at work, but when I got home I remembered a package that was delivered a day or two ago and I hadn't got around to opening. Inside I found:
My Santa gave me a riddle for the fifth day of Christmas.
This caused a fight in another time
Between, author and author, and a report
Clue's contained within this note
Will point you to your gift
Of five by five
After I pondered it a good deal of the day, Santa suggested I post it here for hints.
Current thoughts:
Five by five sounded like a magic square, but the syllables from each line don't add up to 65.
A CD jewel case is roughly 5 by 5.
"A fight in another time" between (bounded by?) two authors and a report sounds like a strategy game. (Starts with two warring parties, ends with a battle report). It also sounds like some assignments I had in college.
But the item in question caused the fight to start with.

All the cool games will have been ripped straight out of the box, the only thing left will be..
Joke's on them, there are already books in there.
especially non-Japanese magnets
My wife and I love everything. Thank you.
What about beef jerky magnets?
Santee! Your package is in the final stages! I expect to ship tomorrow. :D
Really, a present?! Let's CHECK IT OUT.
Peanut is curious about the package that is taking up space on "her chair" soon she loses interest.
But WAIT, we interrupt this unboxing for an important message!!

From @Radiation exposure.
Kinder Maxi Eggs are the best, man. I once got an entire seaside resort model out of one. It had like, a ferris wheel and a roller coaster.
Granted I was a kid so maybe my sense of scale was whack, but I'm pretty sure it was at least the size of my current flat.
Crack it open, man! Maybe he put MORE XMAS INSIDE IT
Same goes for beer.
All y'all other countries can suck it.
Belgium would like to have a word with you.
I'm really happy you guys enjoyed everything!
Oh please, all they got is waffles.

Switzerland (for chocolate) and Canada (for beer) would also like to join that conversation.

Hand over all the chocolate and beer and no one has to get hurt.
Did your beer ever show up @LoveIsUnity?

My santa sent me all the games! with a great addendum to the bundle meaning I can pass on the lovings!
Here's the email message!
I bolded the important part right there. So many gifts to give out!

Thanks Santa, you really brightened my day!

I'm not sure.
As far as famous feuds between authors, a few come to mind:
Capote and Kerouac, over who was more full of shit.
CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien, over religion, obviously.
Hemingway and Fitzgerald, because Hemmingway was a dick and Fitz was a sissy.
Not really sure that any of that helps at all, though.
