May 24th, 2351 – Declaration of War
Dr. Paul-Henri Durand, the pioneer of Time Science and only person to successfully manipulate time, “defects” to the Asian Empire from America. The American government, convinced the defection was coerced or possibly a kidnapping, wastes no time in declaring war. The Asian Empire strikes first, however, when Shàngjiàng Yuen gives the order to launch a barrage of Mark X missiles from their satellites in space. America’s Ballistic Defense System performs well in its first wartime test, shooting down 98% of the threats and casualties are limited to the thousands. General Gomez starts his charge into the Pacific and begins a campaign that defeats the Asian Empire at nearly every turn.

Almost a million casualties result from the battles and the Coalition gains a a deep foothold in both of America’s borders.

On the Western front, a new Asian Empire leader, Shàngjiàng Sun Tzu outmaneuvers American General Webb and hands America its first major loss on its own soil.

Unfortunately, that one front was proving nearly unwinnable as Shàngjiàng Sun Tzu was handing defeat after defeat to the American military. In what would be the beginning of the end, American General Boyd drew a line in the sand stating that no enemy would cross the Mississippi. The Asian Empire did just that, however, killing hundreds of thousands in the process. Rumors are that America is getting desperate and may deploy a time based weapon in the near future.

I would really like to vote for SLyM, but he's dead.
But Capfalcon I think will do. Jumping onto Flarne at that point is a tempting mafia move I think. If Retaba is mafia, it's kind of revealing, but you have to at least waste another day to figure out if it meant anything, and even then you can blame it on SLyM/maybe ebum. If Retaba isn't mafia, it still makes an opportunity to waste another day's vote records by making it look like someone was saved, and people will generally go for the saved rather than a savee, both because there's typically only 1 person that was saved and the reason below, and if we stay at the end of the timeline, this game may not last much longer, so wasting that day could be worth sticking out for.
That said, if Retaba turns up red, I think that gives us a bit more information on the other people in the late push, so I don't think that's necessarily a bad vote either.
I mean if you guys want to vote me out to determine stuff, fine. But I want you to examine the possibilities as if I am village because I am. So if you do vote me out, it isn't a wasted opportunity.
Those seven could potentially be Yuen. If we don't jump back to day 4, I'm not sure it's really worth going after some of the people on that list like Locus, who seems doomed to always die on S Day. I suppose it's possible that Yuen ceases to have a role in narration past S Day, while still being alive, but that seems kind of weird. If that's the case, then that would eliminate Locus, but I suspect he is Yuen and that Yuen was doomed to die on S Day earlier on in this game.
I'm thinking purple kill is another faction. The question is do they count as a traditional threat that the village most eliminate or was Aura telling the truth and chose mafia to throw people off their trail. If he was being truthful, then their wincon could be something along the line of outnumber everyone else combined before the game can end. With only one dead and 2-3 mafia left, I'm not sure we have enough to go on to go after them and the mafia are probably in better shape to thin them out than the village.
Anyways, I think it's best to focus on trying to root out threats in the list of people that are active today, since there must be at least one here and one of them probably is mafia.

I remember that being a major complaint from my metastasis mini.
Retaba, if you turn up green, then that tells us that yesterday was just an easy day for the mafia. They can do just about anything and be safe. They could either just lay low and stay diffuse (what probably happened) or they could try to stir up a last-minute swing to another villager. It's not terribly likely but also not a horrible strategy if they think the game will end soon and are low on numbers. A kind of all or nothing play for the last 2 days.
IMO, you being village makes it more likely that someone like SLyM or Capfalcon is mafia. If you are mafia, then I would lean more towards someone like Mill or TA. They jumped on late after it was already a safe place to be, so they couldn't really be pointed at to be saving you, but they did make sure that it would be harder for a network to shift the vote back to Retaba should they choose to.
But I think people have heard enough from the new guy, and am a bit disconcerted that more people aren't contributing, as it's pretty late in the game to not have an idea of what's going on. I know there aren't really 9 of us left, but if we go to day 8 tomorrow, then the game could conceivably end.
Everyone that's alive except for romanqwerty (I think, I just did a quick scan) have been on the forums in the past couple hours. Most haven't responded. I know that's not really telling because people leave their browsers open or whatever, but it's something to think about. If mafia are trying to end the game tonight, they would be very careful about voting right now. The actionable assumption has to be that someone was seered and could be waiting for you to get onto a wagon to quasi-confirm another of the dwindling number of non-networked villagers.
One idea I had today was that with both Invictus and TA being killed is that the mafia temp killed one of their own last night to make it unlikely they'd be removed permanent today etc.
No idea how plausible that is but it got into my head.
Do we even have a seer in this game? I think the narrations might fill that part of the village arsenal.
I don't think Reteba is a good vote. Right now we have two good options for the vote. Pick someone from the list of Yuen candidates (quickly diminishing) or pick someone from the currently alive players (which we know has at least one mafia).
We could vote for a temporary dead person. My concern is that we need to be careful here since even if you permanently remove a mafioso or purple, you could end up hitting someone that would have been dead that day anyways.
Hitting someone one the currently active list means you're removing someone that would have been alive on earlier day in all likelihood, which can be incredibly helpful if they are a threat.
Also given Gizzy's vote and the fact that Ret is the only one to die on the Rain of Fire day, I'm leaning towards that vote not being a good choice. It's possible he is a dirty time traveling mafioso, but I don't see enough details to make it worth pursuing him with the vote.
I'm more willing to go with the Capfalcon vote since he is a) still alive today and b) if Yuen didn't die on day four he could potentially be Capfalcon. Lucedes's vote placement on him day 2 also piques my interest, she was the first one to vote for him and it was early enough in the game to remove later.

I think we're better off moving temp kills around to see if Yuen disappears instead of trying to vote him out.

I think I agree. Dead people can be dealt with later. Out of the people left alive today, analysing the wagons of importance (Auralynx, Gizzy & Cythraul) the only person to miss all three wagons while being alive for all three is Mill.

But Capfalcon I think will do. Jumping onto Flarne at that point is a tempting mafia move I think. If Retaba is mafia, it's kind of revealing, but you have to at least waste another day to figure out if it meant anything, and even then you can blame it on SLyM/maybe ebum. If Retaba isn't mafia, it still makes an opportunity to waste another day's vote records by making it look like someone was saved, and people will generally go for the saved rather than a savee, both because there's typically only 1 person that was saved and the reason below, and if we stay at the end of the timeline, this game may not last much longer, so wasting that day could be worth sticking out for.
That said, if Retaba turns up red, I think that gives us a bit more information on the other people in the late push, so I don't think that's necessarily a bad vote either.
Also, purple kill still exists.

Those seven could potentially be Yuen. If we don't jump back to day 4, I'm not sure it's really worth going after some of the people on that list like Locus, who seems doomed to always die on S Day. I suppose it's possible that Yuen ceases to have a role in narration past S Day, while still being alive, but that seems kind of weird. If that's the case, then that would eliminate Locus, but I suspect he is Yuen and that Yuen was doomed to die on S Day earlier on in this game.
I'm thinking purple kill is another faction. The question is do they count as a traditional threat that the village most eliminate or was Aura telling the truth and chose mafia to throw people off their trail. If he was being truthful, then their wincon could be something along the line of outnumber everyone else combined before the game can end. With only one dead and 2-3 mafia left, I'm not sure we have enough to go on to go after them and the mafia are probably in better shape to thin them out than the village.
Anyways, I think it's best to focus on trying to root out threats in the list of people that are active today, since there must be at least one here and one of them probably is mafia.

I remember that being a major complaint from my metastasis mini.
Retaba, if you turn up green, then that tells us that yesterday was just an easy day for the mafia. They can do just about anything and be safe. They could either just lay low and stay diffuse (what probably happened) or they could try to stir up a last-minute swing to another villager. It's not terribly likely but also not a horrible strategy if they think the game will end soon and are low on numbers. A kind of all or nothing play for the last 2 days.
IMO, you being village makes it more likely that someone like SLyM or Capfalcon is mafia. If you are mafia, then I would lean more towards someone like Mill or TA. They jumped on late after it was already a safe place to be, so they couldn't really be pointed at to be saving you, but they did make sure that it would be harder for a network to shift the vote back to Retaba should they choose to.
But I think people have heard enough from the new guy, and am a bit disconcerted that more people aren't contributing, as it's pretty late in the game to not have an idea of what's going on. I know there aren't really 9 of us left, but if we go to day 8 tomorrow, then the game could conceivably end.
Everyone that's alive except for romanqwerty (I think, I just did a quick scan) have been on the forums in the past couple hours. Most haven't responded. I know that's not really telling because people leave their browsers open or whatever, but it's something to think about. If mafia are trying to end the game tonight, they would be very careful about voting right now. The actionable assumption has to be that someone was seered and could be waiting for you to get onto a wagon to quasi-confirm another of the dwindling number of non-networked villagers.
No idea how plausible that is but it got into my head.
I don't think Reteba is a good vote. Right now we have two good options for the vote. Pick someone from the list of Yuen candidates (quickly diminishing) or pick someone from the currently alive players (which we know has at least one mafia).

Hitting someone one the currently active list means you're removing someone that would have been alive on earlier day in all likelihood, which can be incredibly helpful if they are a threat.
Also given Gizzy's vote and the fact that Ret is the only one to die on the Rain of Fire day, I'm leaning towards that vote not being a good choice. It's possible he is a dirty time traveling mafioso, but I don't see enough details to make it worth pursuing him with the vote.
I'm more willing to go with the Capfalcon vote since he is a) still alive today and b) if Yuen didn't die on day four he could potentially be Capfalcon. Lucedes's vote placement on him day 2 also piques my interest, she was the first one to vote for him and it was early enough in the game to remove later.
