You'll be betraying him by taking the better deal? He has to offer you whatever one card he gets every turn. I have a bunch to offer.

And what's better to have next door, me and him weakening each other, or him taking over and having double the resources of everyone else?

  • Options
    robinlambertrobinlambert Registered User regular
Hmmm....I definitely see your point. And it wouldn't be a betrayal so much as this is my way of staying on the good side of my new neighbour. And to be honest, if you weren't Yassaril, I would be much more likely to run to your defence - your reputation precedes you.

All that said, I am still open to negotiation. You say you have something better to offer than Mentak's random draw? Give me a for example.

What SC are you going to take seeing as you are the newly anointed Speaker? Perhaps there is something we can work out there too.

    Free market!

Well there are two I need to keep against Mentak. For security purposes they cannot be disclosed. I could offer you another one that helps in combat. I could either tell you exactly what it does but you might want to keep it a secret yourself.

For strategy cards I was thinking taking technology since I'm falling behind on that and can't afford the 6 resources for the secondary. I could also take trade or leadership.

  • Options
    robinlambertrobinlambert Registered User regular
    Gotta love the free market.

While I am not in much of a need of combat cards just now, let me know what you might get on the Status Phase draw and we shall see.

And for SC, I too was hoping for Tech but I see you need it more than most. I could use the Bonus counter on Trade or perhaps Leadership again. (or maybe Assembly just some more cards).

Round 3: Start of Status Phase

    The Arborec: Pass turn.
    The Winnu: Pass turn.
The Emirates of Hacan: Pass turn.
    The Yssaril Tribes: Pass turn.

All players may now claim one unlocked Public Objective and their Secret Objective if conditions have been satisfied. Once all players have made claims or declined, I'll send out Action Card draws and allow for Command Counter allocations.

Yeah? I have asked you for any suggestions you might have to deal with your strife, but now I have new neighbor - The Mentak.

Buy my action cards instead of Mentak. I have a better collection.

You'll only sell your worst cards, while my card might be a Sabotage, Unexpected Action or Flank Speed.

Also, Hacan, you can buy cards from more than one player, you know.

Sadly I only have One TG. But I suppose that doesn't matter necessarily.

Speaking of, what is your intention with the forces at El'nath - north or east?

I will not attack Arinam/Meer in my first or second action next round.

I'm not saying I'll definitely attack it after that (and I probably won't), but if you are keeping it as empty as it is now, I don't want to make promises I can't keep. A planet with a single GF is a very easy victory point at the moment.

I understand and accept your point. The Meeranesian people are peaceful and I told them I wouldn't occupy them but it might be time to properly protect them.

We can talk again we the AC are distributed.

Hacan, Winnu, and Yssaril will now each draw 2 Action Cards; Arborec, Saar, and Mentak each draw 1. All players receive 2 Command Counters (except Winnu, who receives 3 counters) and may allocate and redistribute their command areas.

If you don't need combat cards what do you need? I can give you one that helps research tech by ignoring a prerequisite. Transfer that one for a TG if Hacan approves.

Or just buy Void Slayer's :P

@fidoh - can you give me a hint as to the cards ability or is yours a mystery box too?

@Void Slayer - it sounds like you already have something similar to the card i am offering you (Biological Warfare Lite) but if you would like another, I will trade you for the Mystery Box Card.

@MrBody - Focused Research sounds like a good card but I am not sure I need it either. I am going to wait to hear from Fidoh.

I'm not going to say what it does. It could be worth nothing to you, it could be worth 3TG.

Besides, some cards aren't worth much when everybody knows you have them.
