@Blake T I was snoopin on your Wish list ... do you already have Generations Grimlock? He's baller and also much cheaper than your other Transformer choices, though I applaud your selection.

E: Snooped at @Usagi 's too ... it only reminded me that I got my mom the exact same dutch oven last year, and I'd put money down that she hasn't even taken it out of the box. Okay, no more snooping tonight, boyfriend is tugging on shirt sleeve to go to bed.

I'm having trouble finding small things for my wish list. It's so easy to find crazy expensive things like WOAH WOAHHH THAT'D BE AWWWWEESEOME, and less so to find the sensible rad things.

    Bam snacks on snacks

    links added to sig

Because of you I added a burr grinder and an aeropress to my wishlist

    You son of a bitch

(Not that I think there's a snowball's chance of someone dropping a bill on this shit on my behalf, but stranger things have happend)

Hell I have enough spare equipment lying around I'll send some of it to you if you want

Shit, man, fo real? That'd ruuuule. Shoot me a PM with the sorts of things you'd be willing to part with and your estimates on shipping, and I'll toss you some dollahs.

    Aeropress bloooooows.

  • AbracadanielAbracadaniel Registered User regular
Nah, an inverted aeropress can do a pretty good job, and it's super portable with almost no cleanup

It does have limitations though, like being unable to make more than a cup (maybe two, max) of coffee at a time

What, the video response to those comics you got me?

I still don't get why that was such a big deal. :P

Actually the gift was that I got to send a gift to a complete stranger and afterward they showed their appreciation without suspecting an agenda or feeling obligated to reciprocate.

    Dear Satan:
So this is my second year of Satans and I am pretty hyped. Hopefully you are pretty hyped too! First off I want to say that I am totally down for used gifts. Got a copy of a book you liked you think I would also like? Send it! Favorite movie? YES PLEASE. A used copy of a video game that may or may not be on my list? Yes good. Right now we have a Vita, a 3DS, DSLites, a PS2, PS3, and an XBOX 360 (oh and a regular old wii I always forget because we never use it) in our house and the only games I really CAN'T play are first person because they make me barf. I also find strategy games to be boring beyond all reason, but if you've got one that might change my mind, I'll watch my boyfriend play it try it out for myself. I also like handmade stuff like scarves, hats, socks, cookies, cakes, artwork, anything like that. However I am hella fat so keep that in mind.

I am a size xxl in MEN'S tshirts/hoodies; I really fuckin love socks as you can tell by my amazon wishlist but they need at least a 16" calf stretch (better if more). I like graphic tees and stuff but straight up will not wear a tshirt with text on it unless it is seriously amazing. I have no sense of smell 99.99% of the time so fragrances are completely lost on me. I like nail polish and I'm trying to like makeup but it comes and goes so anything expensive is probably just a waste. I have no hair right now so clips are right out but I like headbands if they're big enough to fit my giant head!

I also have two cats, Milton and Pepper:
    4nfnlne.jpgpY8VIHg.jpg
It is totally acceptable to send them gifts up to and including that crinkly piece of plastic they're going to steal out of the box and chew on immediately. Neat-looking or at least non-terrible non-cardboard scratching posts are so hard to find! If you're crafty that is another thing you could make and that would be so nice you have no idea. Like seriously look at this thing and realize amazon wanted like $25+ for a piece of bent wood with some sisal stapled to it. Highway robbery. Neat cat towers are ridiculously priced but soooo cool. Any cat gifts I will try my best to get plenty of cat photos but you know how cats are so they might just be surly cats held in place on a gift.

I also like to cook and stuff and my boyfriend has been warned not to get me anything kitchen-y. I also really like cookbooks and food magazines and such. I hate to be a downer but I don't really like steam games because I have such a backlog already that I never, ever play but if there's some kind of steam game you REALLY want to give me I can pass on my steam name through a third party. I also have a kindle so kindle books are welcome!

oh also I put nsfw - yes but I would prefer only minor nsfw type things... my very own copy of cum for bigfoot, cool, but please don't send me like porno dvds or sex toys or anything

Just like I said last year, I suck at this part... but away we go!

    Hey Satan!
This is not going to be all that different from last year's post, tbh, since while my life has changed significantly since then my interests have not.

Creative power is one of my favorite things to admire in others. I am certain that above all else, I would enjoy something that shows off your skills and/or talents.

I consider myself a fairly well rounded player of games. The last year has been mostly filled with PC games and a wide variety of board games.

My local friends have massive board game collections though, so I find myself not having a huge desire to own a large collection myself. My very favorite board game is Battlestar Galactica. I have a couple "co-operative against the game" types, like Forbidden Island, and I do enjoy that sort of thing. For expanding my own collection, I mainly try to focus on games that play well with two players since any time I have more than two players, the massive collections of my friends are usually available. I am, however, considering getting into the X-Wing minis game, and have included some items on my amazon wishlist for some basic comps. I recently picked up Gauntlet of Fools, and I have some Munchkin and FluXX. If it's fairly common, I might have it already or I might play it a lot with my friends. I am certain though that if you have a slightly less common game in mind that you love, your powers of darkness will likely show you that I'll enjoy it too.

My Steam and XBL profiles are in my signature. They show a pretty comprehensive set of my vidjagame interests. I keep my steam wishlist up to date and fairly well curated. I mainly shy away from console games these days for whatever reason.

I'd really like to get back into pokemon with X&Y, but I have no 3DS. I'm sure I'd have a lot of fun with one, but I have had a hard time justifying buying one for myself.

I love all sorts of universes like BSG, Star Wars, Firefly, Lord of the Rings, Portal, and the like. I absolutely adore the fallout universe and have played through waaaay to much of the modern games. My very favorite superhero is Iron Man and I am up to date on the IM comics. I'm not so up to date on the rest of Marvel NOW though, and enjoy anything with a solid Iron Man tie-in. Various themed things along these lines would be met with much praise of your evil.

I have a pretty extensive book collection (including *almost* every Star Wars EU novel), so while I do love books I get them all the time and they may make redundant gifts.

I put this here last year, and was met with some amazing whiskey tools :) I'm going to include it again though anyhow: I highly enjoy good whiskey (scotch more than anything).

I really suck with wishlists. I'm trying to improve. The fact that I've bought a house this summer does mean that some things that would generally be impulse buys have not occurred due to spending monies on house things. My amazon wishlist is in my sig, and I'm sure I'll be updating it more over the next week. I do ask that if you get something from my amazon wishlist, that you mark it as purchased since I'm using this list for multiple exchanges and some friends and family. Once matches go out I'll keep my eyes off of it so as to not ruin any surprises.

If you can't come up with any ideas based on this information, and you would like to ask someone on the forums for help, I would suggest @chaosisorder or @peetsnack. You could also try PMing my wife @Jersey but I'm not sure if she checks her PMs here.

I'll get creative and weird but hopefully awesome too!.

    Here we go Satan, information!:
    Secret Satans WishList

HELLO WHOEVER GOT ME! This is my fifth(?) year doing Secret Satans and I have been always pleased with what has come my way. But I know some assistance is always appreciated in terms of what to get for someone, even someone as loud and out-there as myself.

So from a forum perspective I primarily post in the superhero/comics thread, the table-top role-playing thread and television thread. I’m big into entertainment, in pretty much every medium.

Body: I am 5’11 and around 160 pounds. I’d put myself as a 32-33 for pants and I am always down for getting some new clothing. Personally I like really loud, monochromatic clothing items. I’m pretty much all about “Peacocking” when I can. For shirts and such I tend to wear Larges as I like some extra room in a shirt.

Games: While my Xbox360 red-ringed on me around six months ago I have access to an Xbox 360, PS3 and (soon to be) PS4 as a result of living with others who like to share. Sadly my laptop is a six year-old Toshiba and as such runs horribly, so PC games aren’t a great option. BUT! I am likely getting a new all-in-one PC come Christmas, so maybe PC games can become a thing again? I like first-person shooters, fighting games, rpgs and party games. Basically any game a group of people can have fun with while indulging in mass alcohol. I sadly have no portable gaming system as my DS was stolen with my backpack at PAX-Prime 2012. One particular item I have been looking for is a working GameCube with some of its more acclaimed games (Smash Bros, Double Dash, Monkey Ball, F-Zero, ect…) as I think it is the pivotal party console. Regarding board games I LOVE them and am slowly building a collection of them. Finally for table-top games I currently play Pathfinder but am open to any system you think would be cool. I’ve heard awesome things about games like Dungeon World, Gamma World, Fate, Fiasco, ect… I just got a bunch of dungeon tiles thanks to the Dwarven Forge kickstarter but I sadly have no table-top miniatures, so just getting a bunch of pre-painted/assembled guys for my friends & I to utilize would be AWESOME.

Movies, Music and Television: I like collecting shows on DVD, so I am always appreciative of that. Getting funny or interesting movies/shows I may not have exposed myself too is nice as well. Genre-wise I like action, dark-comedies, and sci-fi. I’m really big into a show that goes into the logistical aspects of its fictional setting (think how Battlestar Galactica or Stargate Universe had episodes about water-shortage or elections). I don’t listen to a lot of music but I’m a fan of classical/orchestral music (big fan of movie soundtracks), 80s bubble-gum pop and contemporary dance club music.

Hobbies: As far as my extra-curricular activities go I do improv’ comedy in Seattle, volunteer for some different organizations helping kids out, dancing in night clubs and generally party a bunch.

Food: I love food and really want to open up my skills at cooking, so authentic & useful cooking books would be cool. I am sadly lactose intolerant (on an extreme level) and have acid reflux disease, so if you send me food just be aware of those factors.

Books: I don’t read as much traditional literature as I would like but I am not one to turn down a good book. I’m a big fan of comic books and am always looking to expand my library. I am also partial to books on western philosophy (I graduated with a degree in it) so that interests me as well.

And here is my wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/3DPD33PRHPXV0/ref=cm_wl_act_vv?_encoding=UTF8&reveal=&visitor-view=1

    3basnids3lf9.jpg

  • mullymully Registered User regular
you can now install an amazon wishlist button to your browser, so you can add any page to your wishlist. pretty cool. then, i'd just add your steam profile to that. maybe?

  • LasbrookLasbrook It takes a lot to make a stew When it comes to me and youRegistered User regular
When you click on your wishlist in steam it should have the address up top, or you can just link to your steam profile and people can find it from there.

If you don't see a URL bar go to Steam>Settings>Interface and check "Display Steam URL address bar when available."

Or just friend me and I can give you the link.

  • DaMoonRulzDaMoonRulz Mare ImbriumRegistered User regular
Ok, it's pretty barebones, but here we go:
    Hail, Satan!

Hello, it's that time of year again. This year I actually threw some wishlists together! Huzzah!
In the Amazon list, I included a wireless 360 controller. I want to use it for my games on PC; I don't actually own a 360, just a PS3.

I'm from the Lansing area in Michigan, played Tuba in the Spartan Marching Band, and as I'm sure you could assume, a Spartan fan. I always feel awkward making these, because I prefer to use the opportunity to better know the Prince of Lies (a foolish goal, perhaps) I already know what I like, I'd rather get to know what you like. Send me a mixtape of your favorite bands. Send me something that's made near you, or means a lot to you (not a childhood toy). I like introducing people to new things, and having them introduce me to new things as well!

But, in case you're not comfortable with that, I'll include the wishlists in my sig. Steam cash will always be welcome (not sure how to add that to the wishlist)

    Hi yes, hello Satan!

    I like things!

Here is my Etsy Favorites list, it's a good place to look at things I like: https://www.etsy.com/people/SheriBFabulous/favorites/items-i-love
You will notice that I go through phases. Feel free to ignore all ring-like items. Cough cough.

I wear ladies mediums, excluding TeeFury which apparently sucks at sizing things (Ladies Large).

I obviously love crochet, but it's kind of hard to buy crochet-type things (I already have a ton of yarn, etc etc) but if you are feeling SUPER AWESOME I would love a custom yarn bowl from Earth Wool Fire, or a(nother) hook from Jimbo. Note that he does auctions every few weeks, but he also takes custom orders.

I'm also learning to knit! So if you know of any cool knit products or patterns or books or whatever, that'd be neat!

I've also never been able to buy specialty yarn at cool online yarn stores like Knit Picks or ImagiKnit so gift cards or certificates or whatnot would be much appreciated!

I like blue. Blues are great. If you need to pick a color, pick blue. Or red. >.>

I am REALLY BAD at video games. I lean more towards movie/TV nerdiness, including (but not limited to) Star Trek, Star Trek: TNG, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, etc etc. Uh I guess I like space.

I have a ThinkGeek wishlist that I think I will update soon, and I've finally installed the Amazon browser plugin so those lists will probably go here soon.

I clearly love handmade things. If you are good at making things, PLEASE send me something you made!

If you are stuck or need to clarify something, @Javen is the person to ask.

Lastly, if you are SUPER DUPER RICH I would like a Canon 5D MK III thanks!
