Why the hell would a person want to do dance moves to control their MP3 player? Nearly all of the uses of MP3 players are in areas where you can't really do that stuff.
And places where it could very easily do any of these accidentally.

What if you accidentally dropped it? It would roll down the street in to the drains! And then what? It starts a sewer-mutant party that results in the destruction of our civilisation?
The idea is interesting... but the whole implementation?
How cool would it be to have your MP3 player play a certain song list when you're just doing stuff, but when it detects you're running or moving around more actively it switches playlists to something more appropiate? As in: You start running(as in excersize), it switches to a playlist. It detects you're slowing down and puts some more metal (or whatever you choose). Then when you really slow down for cool down it changes to another playlist (probably more relaxing).
But other than some very specific things like that, motion sensor controls for MP3 players (something you move around with you)... well, I don't think they are quite the right idea.
Then again I could be proved horribly wrong, and I would actually be heavily impressed if I was.
