I don't know if I can even pick a favorite in terms of insane Godzilla plots. I'm pretty fond of Godzilla v. Megaguirus, it's pretty recent so it doesn't quite have the same old-school charm to it, but it does have people shooting Godzilla with an orbital black hole cannon.

You can get some serious exponential growth going without even needing to cross land borders
I always pick either greenland or madagascar, because like 90% of the game is waiting for the other one to get infected.
No way in hell I'm waiting around for both of them.
My issue with picking those two is that while it's really hard to get into the country, it's also pretty tricky to leave. The boat routes from Antananarivo are way too sparse, for instance.
You lose a lot of momentum in trying to get out, since the infected population in Madagaskar is not really interacting with that outside it - compare the difficulty of port-to-port infection with land routes, for instance. You start infecting the billion people in India, for instance, and you've got a steamroller spreading to its neighbors very quickly.
But that's just my opinion, I'm not exactly that good at the game.

Actually, there was one good thing about the '99 movie; the cartoon based on it, where the surviving egg you see in the final shot of the film hatches and imprints on Broderick's character and fights its undead robo-zombie mother. Using the radioactive fire breath anything named Godzilla should have because it's iconic.
Pity it got buried under poke/digimon
I especially loved the alien leaders' response at the end....

Yeah start in India or China or some place with a really high population, focus solely on infectivity and not being visible, and NON-LETHALITY. Save your DNA points for when every country is infected and dump some points on heightening your infectivity rates further, and ideally don't start killing people until there aren't any healthy people left. Then get complimentary symptoms, ie, internal hemorrhage and hemophilia. Insomnia and hysteria and stuff go a long way to delaying cures, but if you've saved enough dna then by the endgame you should be able to immediately bump your lethality to asburd levels and that more than anything will destroy even rich countries and their ability to find a cure.
Also. Invest in your resistances. Drug resistance is very important to infecting rich countries and of course slowing the cure.
Also, on the topic of Plague Inc., sell off all unnecessary traits once everyone is infected. High infectivity is useless when there's no-one left to infect.

Dumb fast doodle, friend was laughing about how Mac is so tiny that if my characters were bigger assholes they’d just exploit that constantly.
