To be fair, Baltimore is the reigning murder capital of the country for a few years now. Its a great city, just don't go in the wrong areas. The rest of maryland is suburbs or wanna-be farmland, basically.

Don't forget Mongomery County (and P.G. County too, I guess)

We put the "Great" in "Greater Washington Metropolitan Area"

I might actually be in MD and going to the Ren Fest the weekend of the 20th (which is the last weekend).

Dunno, depends on if I go up to visit a friend or not.

EDIT: Also I lived in Maryland for 19 years and was never once shot.

hey me too (going to the renn fest) (well the 21st)

I also live in MD and have never been shot (27 years and counting) (knock on wood)

    Apparently.

And I didn't live in the area until recently, so :P

But I'll allow myself to be lumped into that group for the sake of convenience.

Dude, I grew up in MoCo.

People left their doors unlocked in our neighborhood.

    I AM IN YOUR HEAD!!!

I have been hanging out a lot with Scott lately, btw. His girlfriend is away for a semester (or something) in England, and he has nothing better to do. I sold him qan Xbox and a copy of Viva Pinata, so he is farming Piniatas now.

    Of course he is.

But he bleached his hair back to blond recently (his natural color) which saddens me, because I like him more with darker hair.

It was blue when I first met him.

He also took out one of his tongue rings, so he is down to only eight.

    Why would he do that?

I tell people about him. I'm like, 'Nine. Nine of those fuckers in his tongue.'

You know, I've stopped questioning Scott about why he removes his piercings from time to time. As long as he keeps the sideways S one in his eyebrow, I'm satisfied.

If he ever gets rid of that one, though, I will be very sad.

Oh god, that's my favorite piercing ever.

Like, on anyone on the face of the planet.

    It is rad as fuck.

Everyone who has ever seen it agrees.

I mean, if I could get away with it in a professional setting, and it wouldn't make me a total loser for just copy-catting him, I would TOTALLY get one just like it, but I can't, and it would, so I just have to be satisfied that he has it, which I am.

Or just tell him I said hi, I guess. If you wanna be boring.

I am worried that if Scott and I ever start making out, we will never stop. We;ve kept it all bottled up for over five years now; it would be dangerous to let it loose.

But I will TOTALLY tell him you said hi. I might be seeing him at my 30 Rock party on Friday.

Well, I was going to be grabing his ass anyway, but I'll think of you when I'm doing it.

We are both still living in the same exact houses.

And commuting to UMBC (this might actually be his last semester; I have a few more to go.)

Sometimes we are at Arundle Mills, too.

Holy crap will you two old men just graduate already?

  • EvanderEvander Registered User
Scott actually only needs to take French, I think.

Meanwhile, I am just lazy, and prone to failure in any endeavor that does not involve instant gratification.

I am graduated and working already, Evan.

How does that make you feel?

  • EvanderEvander Registered User
    Where are you working?

    Still for Disney?

I am working too, just not graduated.

Scott plans to work at the CDC some day, studying viruses. Not curing them, just understanding them.

Yep, still on this-here internship with Disney.

I hope Scott understands Ebola before it mutates to be airborne and deadly to humans.

What do you do over there?

I work in Economics and Finance. I am well on my way to having the kind of job my father did, the kind where no one has any clue what you do for a living.

so did you guys decide when and where the rape is going on? DC area?

  • SheriSheri Registered User regular
Right now I'm a youth market sales intern, which means I get to call schools and churches and ask if they want to bring a youth group to Disney World.

Although for the past, like, two weeks I've been compiling a huge list of home school organizations and their websites. It's making my brain melt a little bit.

White Flint Mall in MD. Next week. Around 1 or 2, I think. Small Press Expo. Bring lube and condoms.

Are you compiling them in order to bomb them?

Because home schooling is stupid, and they should pay the price for it?

I mean, I agree, but violence is NOT the answer, Sheri.

Plus, you really shouldn't be engaging in such personal matters during work time.

    Man

My dislike for certain groups of people has increased exponentially in the past few months, partially due to having to talk to and read about all these damn homeschoolers.

Every time I come across a secular homeschool group, I'm like, yesssss

Also, the errors on some of these webpages make me depressed when I realize that these are the people who will be teaching children.
