Ooookay. Packages got here today. I am now MUCH more understanding why the UPS guy didn't want to lug this shit up and down the stairs. Also apparently there is a defunct buzzer panel down there that I never saw and didn't know about that hasn't worked for years.

So today TWO BIG BOXES arrived. WHAT COULD BE IN THEM, I WONDER
I already know what's in them because I've been experiencing some glitches with my amazon wishlist and noticed that a couple of items were missing from it almost immediately after they went missing. But just in case I was wrong, I kept my mouth shut except to a couple folks in private because I was just WAY too excited.
Anyway, I tore them open like a crazy animal as soon as they got here, so I don't really have any process shots, but here is what was inside of these large and mysterious boxes.
THIS THING RIGHT HERE:
That is an Ibanez S series! It's pretty much the guitar I wanted as soon as I started playing guitar! I. AM. SQUEALING.
And also this came too! It was in a box originally, and that box was wrapped in pretty red gift wrap and tagged, and placed lovingly inside of YET ANOTHER LARGER BOX! I seem to have lost the tag amid all the packing material and excitement, but it read:
"Play the best song in the world or I will swallow your soul" - Satan
Of course, since her recent birthday, all presents are hers..

The books are fantastic. I always want to build up my comics collection.
I grew up with Bloom County. I'm not quite old enough to have seen it in the papers- my cool uncle had collections that I would read. The cool uncle who defined cool by being weird and fun and liking comic books and video games... forever giving me an odd definition of cool.
I look forward to reading Red Son. I have heard some good things about it!
