I killed so many people with the fireflower it's not even funny. Everyone thinks it's a piece of crap, but it can be very useful when used properly. I love how it stops hammers too. If Bowser's neutral b is a lot more like the flower now (i.e. less lag which I hear it has) he just got a huge <3 boost from me. Although, I loved him even in melee (he still has the most KO's according to the built in stat thing)

Yeah it does sound like getting hit dead on by Lyn is an instant KO. I imagine a well timed dodge would avoid it.

I think you could also just go and kill her, before she struck. It takes her forever to 'charge up' and Dr Wright has been killed in one of the videos, before he got to make the cities pop up.

    What exactly is Gardevoir doing?

I think it protects the "trainer" while they stand in the field.

Oh man. I was at a party last night and someone busted out Smash Brothers.

Just by reading this thread, my skills have improved. Me and another guy (Me Link, him Samus) had an epic duel that took like 20 minutes per stock. It was absolutely fantastic.

    And lyn is pretty awesome

I believe it is Lugia, but I am not certain

Other pokemon that are in: Latios and Latias, who do a similar thing, but I think the both of them start from either end of the stage and then tackle each other in the middle, and crush anyone that is in between at the time

Looks like Lati@s to me. Lugia's huge and has Aeroblast as a signature move.

I'm not sure how to feel about Ike at this point. If he's slow enough, I probably won't be able to bring myself to play him, though he's appealing as all fuck.
For Brawl, I really want to get a hold of a heavy character. A lot of Smash Boards are ragging on him for his speed, but with his no-flinch and massive damage, I think I can do a lot with him in 1v1.. He's Ganondorf with reach, range, and a counter attack, and I'm confident I can make those things work for me.

I hope this time there is a random select that doesn't show you who was selected. I always tend to do "Random" multiple times.

My favourite use of the fireflower was with the Ice Climbers. Get the comp girl to hold a flower, and grab a homerun bat with your guy...instant KO if you can get somebody burning.

I hope the heavy characters are more competetive in this game. Ganondorf was my main fighter in Melee, and if I can rip into people like that with Bowser, Wario, and Ike, I'll be a happy chap.

Roy was thrown in Smash Bros. before his actual Fire Emblem game came out.

So the precedent has been set. They can add a character from an upcoming game if they want.

Apparently this time around not only does Bowser's firebreath have less lag, but it's also aim-able. Meaning you can tilt it up and down at will. You can even go to the edge and send fire raining straight down.

...or at least that's what I've heard. Haven't seen it in action though.

That's awesome, Bowser may just be my new main. Depends on the rest of the cast too, of course.
Does all the tier talk bother anyone else? I mean we've only seen like a third-half of the cast so far, how can you even begin to try to put them in tiers? Not to mention they've been doing FFA's almost exclusively. I think tiers a legit and a useful thing and all, it's just waaaay to early to even be considering it imo.
