...but a minifridge is a product you can go out and buy! Right now! With the added bonus of being, I dunno, a name brand warrantied product that will be bigger and less stupid looking!
This isn't a new product call of duty invented! They just made a cheap shitty one to overcharge with their game!
True enough. And looking at Sears' website, it looks like the cheapest minifridge on offer is a 2.4 cubic foot black box at $100. Now, I'm not sure what the cu.ft. volume is of 12 12-ounce cans...but, just going off price, the minifridge bundled with the Juggernog edition seems to be on-par with a normal you can go out and buy at a department store. Now, whether it's less stupid looking is entirely up to the individual (some people don't like generic-looking black boxes...other people think branded, game-themed appliances look tacky).
Ultimately, I guess, it comes down to one thing: what people spend their money on is their business. And, let's be honest with ourselves here...how much use did the NVGs and RC car get once the novelty of those tchotchkes wore off?
And looking at the size of that thing (using the beer bottle as a point of comparison), it looks to be about double the size of a $55 drink cooler that's available on Newegg. So $100 for it seems to be pretty reasonable for what it actually is.

Those were also stupid to buy! Which I also said at the time!
And wall mart has a $60 1.7cu minifridge with a freezer section, which I'm fairly sure is much larger (but cod doesn't list the specs of their toy fridge for some reason) and comes with at least a return policy if not a warranty.
Also because he knows that the mini-fridge is going to be cut rate crap made in ching-chong-ding-dong factory by the lowest cost child labor pennies can buy. Tristypoo is absolutely correct in saying that spending $100 on an actual decent minifridge (not the walmart crap one) and then $60 on the game is a waaaaaaay better purchase than shelling out for that shit in their whatever MLG name edition the facetube shills are attempting to push.
Or as an alternative go and spend that money on a couple of good six packs and put them in your fridge and then drink them, same price and it will give you better enjoyment than the newest carbon copy COD will.
Destiny? For the MP? I didn't like the little I did. Also, it doesn't help that unlike COD rewards are so random.
They have that sorta covered in the current iteration. There's also a blunderbuss in the most recent update they did and it's exactly as stupid as it sounds, so naturally I want the drop for it.
I like what ive seen of BLOPS3, but there's no way I'll want to play CoD over Fallout 4. Bit of an end of an era for me. I've purchased every main CoD game day 1 since the 1st PC game =/

You know the game doesn't look all that bad but jesus fuck every single stream on twitch is the same toxic broham fanboi clone that just makes me never want to get the game.
I'm downloading this on the PS4. I should have it in a few hours. I'm excited to see how in what ways a new Call of Duty game is still not as good as the first Black Ops. ^_^
Sigh. I miss the level design and fun weapon balance of that one.

Ooooh... Ooooooooh. Dedicated servers is a conviction wavering thing to hear.

Watching some streams and I gotta ask: isn't the hook of BLOPS3 the Titanfall-esqe "always be mobile" movement. Because all I'm seeing in these streams is a bunch of scrublords moving slow like it's just another COD.
Nah, even on the trailers it never moved at Titanfall's speed. Being always mobile doesn't equate to faster gameplay. I think the goal was to dial it back a bit from AWs boost dash/boost jump madness.
Which I liked btw .
Waiting on the PC beta. Man, if they go with dedicated servers...PS4 or PC?

Yeah, weapons sure are well balanced when they're statistically identical to each other.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

if anyone has some spare codes for any system's beta I'd be real appreciative.
Beta is downloading at around 600k a second. 54 hours to go.
Really hope it picks up soon...
Miscalculated the speed - it's around 60k a second...

So...maybe its because I haven't played a shooter since Titanfall last year and like two weeks of Destiny...but my Call of Duty anticipation has went from "Maybe not" to "Maybe"
Though it comes out at the same time as Halo and Battlefront so we'll see.
With Fallout coming out four days after this, I was thinking of just waiting a month or two before picking it up. However, being able to play the beta for a few days next week during this gaming dry spell is making me reconsider...

I'm using the beta to make my decision whether or not to get it - the last 2 games' multiplayer didn't grab me at all, so I'm hoping this is a return to Black Ops funtimes, which I loved back on the 360.
3 hour to go downloading, so I'm hoping I'll get 30 mins in before work tomorrow.
I've only played a few matches, but this one doesn't really seem to do that much new or have any strong differentiating qualities. It just felt like more Advanced Warfare. I'm not yet seeing what that extra development year got us.

Both seem to have been claimed. If anyone has a PS4 code I would appreciate it. Haven't been able to do much gaming for the last year and a half or so between new baby and work, but I have more time now and would like to get back into something multiplayer like CoD. Tempted to pick up the next iteration, but some beta play would definitely make it an easier choice.
Bam! Figured it out. Sometimes I forget I have a GameFly account... I'll just rent BLOPS3 from them, play it whenever I might not be playing Fallout, and then keep it for cheap if I like it.
Some of the Beta gameplay I've seen does look pretty good!

So far, I'm still 50/50 on getting it. Had some fun games, with some rage inducing ones. Going to try a few different specialists, see what they're like, and see how some more unlocks change things.
I do like the first LMG you get, it's nice and meaty.
So I uh... love the beta. I played one match and it was all I needed to know that I like this more than AW's MP. I got through two matches before my friend who gave me a code hopped on and then we failed for about 30 minutes to A) group together logically, get into a match. I don't know if the servers shit the bed at that point or what, but I couldn't get into a match for at least an hour. He went to bed before that and I got to play for about 90 minutes longer.
So, yeah, why the fuck would the max party size be ONE when you're outside of a lobby? Especially since my party size is limited to 18 according to the options?
I like how you can do paint jobs on guns, but they need to make that easier to find. I mean, I blindly pressed Options on one screen and found it that way, but I didn't know any kind of button indicator to say that was even a thing. Also, I can copy or cut a layer, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to then paste it.
As for the gameplay, I love that you switch it up between being mobile and being careful. You die quickly, but it feels like you're back in the action so quickly it doesn't matter.
Those Gravity Spikes sure aren't just the Titan's Fist of Havoc from Destiny, nope. Not at all!
Wall running is pretty cool.
Yeah, I was in the "not that interested" camp before, but now I'm fully in the "I want this" camp.

But can it fit a single 12oz bottle? Maybe three with some careful alignment?
I'm going to go on a limb here and say that it looks like the trays can be removed, so fitting bottles (looks to be around 2-3) in there looks doable.
Back to my original point, it looks to be perfectly suited to hold yogurt cups and/or various fruits.

I wonder if the PC version will have a server browser.
I may have a spare code if my two work PS4 buddies don't want my spares.
